George WashingtonGeorge Washington, (1732-1799) Founding Father, 1st US President, 'Father of the Country'

George Washington Quote

“My policy has been, and will continue to be, while I have the honor to remain in the administration of the government, to be upon friendly terms with, but independent of, all the nations of the earth. To share in the broils of none. To fulfil our own engagements. To supply the wants, and be carriers for them all: Being thoroughly convinced that it is our policy and interest to do so.”

Wonder what he would think of FDR getting us into the UN.

J Carlton, Calgary

Cal, I wonder what he would think of not only the UN but all of the foreign entanglements we're involved in? Who made America the policeman of the planet? No wonder so much of the world harbors animosity towards America. We seriously need to get back to the Constitution and all of its intentions.

Watch out for Libya. This could easily be our next entanglement.

and now we have the United Nations' Agenda 21 and the hundreds of programs that have been bought into it running our very lives in this country and others---and we don't blink an eye. See what 50 years of communist television will do to you...indoctrinate the masses...and you can control them...my God, where has all the wisdom gone? Where are the adults? Where is self respect? self responsibility, self reliability, slef sufficiency? Give me a free cell phone and you can have my vote? Is that what we have become? apparently so...and how very sad for the human race! Please look up Rosa Koire and any of her enlightening speeches around the country on this subject...(youtube)...Democrats against the UNs Agenda 21...
