An accurate observation. Understanding the secular nature, and application of "the laws of nature and of nature's God" - Government is not reason, it is not eloquence it is force. Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master; (attributed to George Washington). The de jure States united was to be a body politic with the individuals being the sovereigns and the public officials - servants.

Servants have become our masters. Our Declaration of Independence has become a suicide pact of Individualist.

If we must have any government involvement then let it be state and local. Nationalism is dangerous.

How do you get rid of 'a lot' of government once its gotten? It's never pretty...

Being a responsible feature and element of government,  I am not inclined to believe government dangerous.
