In a religious context, love and truth are palpable equals. In a political context or, a representative government setting, truth is the only available here stated item that could or should legitimately be given.

A little money to go with the truth helps me to pay the bills.

To learn truth is an exciting event. With truth we have awareness. Nothing quite like being Aware. Mike you really got me with the "religious context". I mean of course there is some sublime truth somewhere in religion but it seems so fleeting for most. If there is absolute truth in religion why are there so many different religions and therefore different truths.

Waffler, the Supreme Entity, as exists in that tangible absolute, is truth, is love, is knowledge, is faith, is a set certain form, etc. no matter how, why, what, or where you or I describe. Different religions do not have different truths (no matter what they say) Individual beliefs, causal intent, self fulfilling desires, interests, prejudice, perceptions, rationalizations, etc. describe the different religions (not truth). Religion is: "real piety in practice, consisting in the performance of all known duties to God and our fellow men." (Bouviers Law Dictionary) Knowing that religion then describes the real piety in practice of welfare state patrons (calling it love) and those pursuing duties to God, I pointed out the quote's accurate depiction of what should be a separation of church and state.

The 'true religion' is the love of truth and the practice of faith in it.

Truth is an ideal, which does not mean that man has achieved it. Rather it is to be furthered. As to the reality, it is covered by "As scarce as is the commodity of truth, the supply has always exceeded the demand."

in truth we feel this inner perception of our right to be, when one feels the truth has been revealed they no longer seek to find more. others try to enhance this perception with feelings and items such as love and money. truth is not in the things that are given to us, but in the things we discover on our own.

Truth and Love are corollaries of each other.

Necessarily, a love of the Truth cannot exist in the absence of at least a vestige of the influence of Love.
