In context, what problems are here being discussed? If it is in general, the expressed altruism is accurate to a fault. If the statement is narrowed to the author's field of practice, the whole thereof is acutely specific. A related example would be, a Wuhan militarized virus. Political science does not relate to the field of knowledge (ignorance — called knowledge by power hungry despots) that can solve the problem. "Bio" and other related scientifically gathered information and data (contemporary — so-called knowledge) is more likely to have solutions.
