Jacob G. Hornberger Quote

There's a slight application difference but, we're 'progressive'ly getting there. Even the stimulus package was almost word for word of a Nazi program.

jim k, Austin,tx

The application is a little different but the principle is the same.

Easy to see what it means. The total federal control over everything in our lives. Oh yeah! It's all for our own good of course and it's scary how many believe that.

Just more preaching of fear, uncertainty & doubt... time to learn that there are vast differences.

J. Allen, Arlington, Va

Absolutely correct. All just different terms for increased power of the central government at the expense of individual liberty.

We must now face the harsh truth that the objectives of communism are being steadily advanced because many of us do not recognize the means used to advance them. ... The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a Conspiracy so monstrous (Reston) he cannot believe it exists. The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst. ~ J. Edgar Hoover

The (financial / social) Third Reich is now being advanced by the White House and has been for some time.

What a load of ignorant crap! And concerning the remarks, mostly echo chamber claptrap with no logical or factual basis, but in particular the quote from J. Edgar Hoover . . . one of the most dangerous, corrupt and evil men in American History. J. Carlton, do you know he was speaking of himself?

Quite right! He was bragging and he knew we wouldn't believe it. Thanks for pointing that out to us.

Popeye...the editors quote from Hornberger is an absolute fact! Thing is one must be capable of critical thinking and historical analysis to see it. Maybe you're not. And Hoover's statement is also an absolute fact, regardless of your "personal opinions".

A regulated economy is just that, REGULATED. Its not freedom, there is no liberty within it. The government through regulations, taxes, welfare, stimuluses for the purchase of some products and penalties for the purchase of others; controls the flow of money. Its common sense that whoever controls the money, controls the house and everyone in it. This control over the economy is what aggrandized the power of men (if that is what you want to call them) like hitler, stalin, castro, saddam and the rest of the evil faces in the ash pile of history. They took their throne of power with either force or false promises of economic prosperity; they kept them by controlling the money, strengthening the force and limiting the prosperity. Are we the American People so dumb that we do not recognize this tragic pattern of history that will one day force us to beg the government for our daily bread? Or are we so lazy that we refuse to swim out of our own ignorance and accept the personal responsibility that both personal and social liberty require? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, than we are wholly unfit for the liberty that our Forefathers gave us, that our Veterans fought for, and our Heroes died for. Like all societies throughout the course of human events, we will get the government that we deserve.

Socialists must ignore the realities of socialism, i.e. unpayable debt, permanent servitude to the state, cognitive dissonance, privileges instead of rights, no respect of property rights, no accountability, huge black markets and criminal enterprises, the disarming of the populace in every possible way, the debasement of the currency, the elevation of dictators, and on and on. Read the Communist Manifesto and tell me that Reston, Popeye, RBE, dick, Waffler (where is he these days?) are not advocates of communism. Funny how the atheists are quick to re-create all the evils of the church in the form of a socialist government -- worshipping the god of Power over others -- for their own good of course. Either they are fools, hypocrites, or worse, thieves.

The difference is that the American welfare state is just one tool that the "progressives" are using to get us to the authors previous mentioned states.

Socialism is a political and economic theory / application by which the means of production, distribution, and exchange are owned or regulated by a collective. The difference between communism and fascism is: communism owns and controls uniquely in the collective’s name while fascism (corporatism) through subterfuge owns everything and controls all through compartmentally controlled commercial entities. Progressive patrons of theocratic socialism continue to change the meaning of words and concepts, such as capital and profit to advance their deterioration and destruction of life, liberty and property. The U.S.A. bankruptcy shortly after the War Between the States, changed concepts and terms such as eminent domain and “Union” vs. United so that financiers could have ultimate control through their expanded implementation and definition of corporations. States, lesser municipalities, courts, etc. are now corporations consisting outside any jurisdiction that can recognize perfected allodium, inalienable rights, individual sovereignty, or the laws of nature and of nature’s God. In 1913, further changes were made (namely: funny money replaced capital / gold and silver coin, implementation of the 2nd plank of the communist manifesto and the ground work for social security which was implemented near its current form in 1935) to finalize the collective’s ownership and control over production, distribution and exchange. Socialized medicine is another fine tuning of enslaving socialism. Patrons of socialism genuflect in obedience to the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land’s socialism by submitting to compelled compliance, government licensing, victimless crimes, and larceny with impunity.
