Powerful and true.

Mike, Norwalk

I guess it is all a matter of perspective. I understand how true freedom and liberty are a condemnation to those patrons of the statist theocracy. I though, am of the belief that freedom is an inalienable honor that is an eternal blessing.

Love it!

Judith, Corrales

Man is condemned to be ever vigilant to be free may be a sideline to this quote. Freedom is never a given and must be protected. It is innate that man be self directed and resists domination. Those who attempt to overcome another is always met with resistance and violence. But then is there any creature that does not prefer to be free, and would do the same like a fish on a hook or any feral mammal.

Waffler, Smith

Man generally does not want to be free. He wants to suck up to this or that philosophy or belief, politician, group or club so that he may feel that he belongs. Being free of all such associates make many a nervous wreak. I was once described as a "non-relational" personality. In other words I do my own thing without regards to the list above. By the way, esistentialism's basic tenet is that if you are looking far and wide for the purpose of life look no further than your own mirror. You my friend and I are the purpose of life.

E Archer, NYC

'You must be free -- there is no choice.' ;-) Waffler, when it comes to sucking up to group-think, you take the cake. Do you even realize what a hypocrite you are? "Non-relational" indeed...

Fredrick William Sillik, Anytown

It will not be a condemnation, humankind will make responsibility free of charge.
