The best government is the one that governs the least. I'm not sure that "best" and "government" belong in the same sentence. Thomas Paine said, "Government, even in it's best state, is but a necessary evil, in it's worst state an intolerable one."

I would have to add, that best of all governments is "family government". Speaking of governments that are body politics of individual sovereigns united, they need be taught the best of all communal administrations is that of servants protecting their master's inalienable rights.

Since much of that which is commonly characterized as being education normatively assumes the form of emulation, the most sublime instruction of all is that supplied by the Sovereign Individual as he or she exercises his or her Divine and natural right to reason illumined self government.

The cardinal calling of any parent is the cultivation of his or her child's innate capacity for sovereign self government.

You don't need government for self-discipline - you need love and peace!

Putting government in charge of raising children into adults results in a generation of automatons ready to plug into the statist machine. Those that openly reject the program will get special treatment -- drugs, counseling, and down-right intimidation. I loved the library, I hated classes...
