Do the right thing. It will redound to the world's and your own benefit.

"Do the right thing" for the right thing's sake; consequences will follow. It will gratify some, astonish others and yet disgust many. The occupying statist theocracy infesting this land is a great example. Anyone doing the right thing, such as advancing natural law administration (like a limited representative republic), liberty, justice, rights and prosperity - there will be many disgusted antagonists.

As always, the means determine the ends. Doing the right thing is both the means and the end. Of course there will be a response, and I pay attention to that response, as even I may be incorrect in my assessment of what is 'right.'
