Rose Wilder Lane Quote

“Anyone who says that economic security is a human right, has been too much babied. While he babbles, other men are risking and losing their lives to protect him. They are fighting the sea, fighting the land, fighting disease and insects and weather and space and time, for him, while he chatters that all men have a right to security and that some pagan god—Society, The State, The Government, The Commune—must give it to them. Let the fighting men stop fighting this inhuman earth for one hour, and he will learn how much security there is.”

Amazing quote

Mike, Norwalk

Rights are an individual’s liberty warrant in nature, to pursue life’s authoritative, inalienable and omnipresent performances without third party interference. By definition, no third party can be involved in any individual's right thus, there is no right to economic or other form of security. ABSOLUTELY CORRECT; NO ! ! ! pagan god-Society / State / Government / Commune / etc. can give or participate in a man givern right - rights are a faculty of birth uniquely relating to the individual or, other than that, rights do not exist.

Indeed! Power abhors a vacuum -- often we don't realize where power is being checked until one of the 'mob bosses' is greased. The liquidation of Saddam and Omar left huge holes that were filled with competing Islamist 'mobs.'

It would be better to view the political world as a huge collection of mafias battling for domination of their turf. You are either in one of those gangs or pay tribute to them -- and tribute keeps getting paid all the way to the top. Until somebody gets away with taking over another's turf. 'Taking out' your enemy is just 'business.' It is essentially global fascism, and it will be a LONG, LONG time before we ever see such a system eradicated (how could it?). We live in a world in which everything lives off of everything else -- vegetarianism would mean the end of the cow (unless you let them roam the streets like in India). ;-)

We are wild animals, and we have to come to terms with our nature. Civilization is a conscious act among those that embrace an ideology of personal responsibility and mutual respect of others -- it doesn't happen on its own and can't be delegated to another. And when the inevitable predator approaches, you will have to fight. Thanks to all those that have fought for their right to personal responsibility and WON! Their victory marks the front-line. ;-)

A well spoken truth.

Fredrick William Sillik, Anytown

As this very ill analysis demonstrates nonetheless, a secure resource allocation source must be an integral part of any coordinated social arrangement to insure mental and physical well being. Socialism is the challenge of social abilities to create a more certain resourcefulness

Correction: As this very ill analysis fails to coordinate, nevertheless a secure resource allocation source must be an integral part of any coordinated social arrangement to insure proper mental and physical well being. Socialism is the challenge of social abilities to create a more certain resourcefulness.
