That's why the ruling class keeps harping on the word 'terror' all day, every day,so that we will demand that they do something about it -- when in fact, it is the ruling class that is 'terrorizing' the people in order to funnel more power to themselves. The word 'terrorist' means one who instills fear in others -- in that case, the ruling class are the biggest terrorists of them all. Just turn off the TV and suddenly, the 'terror' will disappear.

...such as income tax is voluntary compliance, yet people pay this unconstitutional tax anyway. I do. I'm too frightened of my government to stop. And I have no say in what the money is spent on, like abortion or waging war on Iraq.

Very accurate observation, liberalis / progressives / communists / democrats - neo-cons / fascists / republicans have all made the concept a most intregal dogma of their propaganda prosilyting and canon enforcement.

Good thinig he was not 'the father of modern English'. I think (and the other commenters obviously think, without exception) that what he means is: There's nothing so absurd that if you repeat it often enough people will [not] believe it.

"I'm from the government and I'm here to help" is proof of that quote.

Further proof would be Obama saying that he is trying to improve the nation's economy.

Yes We Can Yes We Can Yes We Can...(Seig Heil! ) Idiots....

This is a misquote and doesn't make sense the way it is worded.

    This version makes more sense:
There is nothing so absurd that it cannot be believed as truth if repeated often enough.

I often find that using the prefix "in America" makes the absurd sound believable.
