To tolerate another seems to mean that you are somehow better than that person. Perhaps a better word than"tolerance" would be "acceptance".

This quote reminds me of another by H.L. Mencken. One man's religion is another man's belly laugh. Sometimes our "truths" are just opinions.

Most of my troubles are ones that I have brought on myself. To say that there are no mistakes is wrong. I've made many of them.

Hitler was one of the worst tyrants in history, perhaps only second to Stalin. Hitler was not an Atheist, he was a Catholic and was never excommunicated. Read "Hitlers' Pope" and see why it was easy for Hitler to pick on the Jews.

Check out the "Institute for Justice" and a see how many local, county, and state laws are passed simply to keep out competition for existing cartels. You will be amazed to see some of the worst laws are not passed by the federal government but by your own city councils.

This is certainly a way to determine if you are in a police state and their or others. The War on Drugs comes to mind.

It depends on the definition of assault. People are being assaulted when cops steal property under civil forfeiture laws. Citizens are assaulted when government steals money from one person and gives it to another for welfare, corporate or otherwise.

Amen, brother.

Nixon started "The War on Drugs" under the banner of law and order and to get elected. This was undoubtably the worst thing he ever did. Watergate pales in comparison to this so called War on Drugs.
