What is tis country coming to and will we ever come to. Our wonderful president came to Austin yesterday and put a snow job on some teachers and kids at a local, mainly black grade school. And , of course, blocked traffic for miles while his group drove in from the airport. Wish he would stay in Washington or Kenya where he belongs.

k w, anyone who expects politicians to "reduce the size of government" is whistling past the graveyard. It ain't going to happen. Government, by it's very nature, always expands, raises taxes, and further enslaves the people. The words "good" and "government " don't belong in the same sentence and you can forget about changing your government by voting. When you vote, you get that little sticker, you feel good all over and nothing in Washington changes except to get worse. Voting only encourages the bastards.

To follow up on my comment, any hope of improving the Washington gang by voting is a study in frustration, a fools errand.

On the subject of education, or lack thereof, watch the documentary "Cartel" about the New Jersey school system. This system, scam would be more accurate, spends a fortune on "education" and has the worst schools in the country. It's all because of the teachers unions which make it almost impossible to fire a teacher no matter how inept that teacher is. Watch the woman running the teachers union tap dance around the tough questions.

This is known as the withholding tax and came about as a means to finance WW2. It was supposed to end after the war but it worked so well for the government that they just forgot to cancel it. It's like robbing you each paycheck instead of once on April 15th.

That's exactly why we have the tax withheld from each paycheck instead of having it paid once a year all at once. The government bleeds you a little at a time.
