That's what i've wanted for myself and my family for a very long time and have asked nicely even in a nice polite courtroom setting and when nicely crushed, (with a smile on the government faces), I learned my lesson well. Our government, better yet, your government is out to not let anyone have control of their lives back as nature and nature's god has deemed it to be. Leave them alone? The question is will these arrogant elite ever leave me and others who know of what I speak alone? Nice just doesn't cut it anymore.

Well gee waffler, what do you call it when government takes over business and becomes a profit partner within say, the banking industry? How about the auto industry? Wow, the health industry is next. This is a first time world event where the control of EVERY government in the world is at stake. Since it is a world system I have no argument with calling it "the system of the beast" because it is one centrallized (and becoming more so everyday) hub that is pulling the centralization strings ever tauter.

Wasn't it only ten years ago the pentagon"lost" 3 trillion because of computers that couldn't communicate with each other? Bureaucracy is the ultimate drain on any society. The wealth of a nation pays its 'leaders' to produce nothing but laws and the bigger government gets the more bloated the unproductive bureauracracies get. Its called suffocation by the weight of the fat asses who prefer cushy jobs and are justified by saying I'm here to help you.

Not once have I heard any compassion or the thought a beggar might truly be in need. The poor will always be with us and though this is no excuse to tinker with the rights of others or to force welfare laws on these same people, charity, by an individuals own choice, should rule the day in doing for the needy. The hypocrisy of religions that preach about this but then lock their doors to keep thieves and beggars out tells the story. Ken, I agree some look at that situation as a lazy mans way of acquiring money and once I have offeered a sandwich instead of money and he wouldn't take it. His loss because sometimes that single act of charity can change a beggars way of thinking after a talk with him about his predicament. But, one never knows until he tries and for so many it is easier to walk by and justify that by considering the beggar an annoyance.

How true, robots only know and do what they're programmed to do and that's what's happening to the average American today. They are blindly doing what their told because they don't have the ability nor the 'other side' of the story to base a decision on and so only know to do what their told to do by those who claim to have all the answers.

Waffler, I have lived under government controlled health systems in more than a couple of countries and I've heard your rhetoric before in different words by different people. The proof is in the pudding and if you will take the time to see what this global economic situation has done to their healthcare you will see it being decimated by cost cuts in not only healthcare but education and public services such as police and every other program the government has its fingers in. More options? I laugh. As soon as government has its foot in the door with the health program being shoved through the legislature any way they can it is only a matter of time before government increases its power and before long determines every aspect of health care. History proves this if one takes the effort to seek out the facts. Exactly Mike, those like Waffler refuse to admit rule of law means rule of the natural law that support the individual freedom of man. They like to think and teach the rule of law is any law man creates whether an individuals rights are considered or not.If the law passes it's as if God has spoken and the law was written in stone and eternal as long as man enforces it over other men.
