Reply Byron, Fort Collins 8/11/11 re: Grover Cleveland quote Wow. I never knew much about former President Cleveland. The presidency really *has* hit rock-bottom these days. Obama has made it a laughingstock. Reply Byron, Fort Collins 8/2/11 re: Bert Masterson quote Yet, there's one law missing. Being an asshole ought to be a capital crime. If it were, that would permanently solve problems of overpopulation Reply Byron, Fort Collins 8/2/11 re: Michel de Montaigne quote Rat awn, Kimo! Well said! Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/27/11 re: B. Bruce-Briggs quote I meant to give this quotation a thumbs-down. 2 Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/27/11 re: B. Bruce-Briggs quote I'm vehemently pro-Second Amendment. Maybe I'm misinterpreting this quotation, but it sounds amazingly condescending, "On the other side is a group of people who do not tend to be especially articulate or literate", as opposed to the Eurofags who find hunting "atavistic" (but who have no problem eating farm animals who have suffered lifelong incarceration). I will agree with the last sentence. 3 Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/26/11 re: Robert E. Lee quote The South has been shafted by the mainstream media before there even was a mainstream media. It's taken decades of self-education to un-learn the propaganda I was taught in school. Lincoln had slaves. The only slaves freed were in the South. Northerners were allowed to keep their slaves. Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/26/11 re: New York Times quote jim k of Austin, Wayne of Naples, you are spot on!!! ___Actually, this quotation sounds CRITICAL of the NWO.___Constant references by eco-zombies to "The Planet", as opposed to *countries* denigrates native cultures and presumes that all of us inhabitants of "The Planet" will, of course, subscribe to the NWO, of which eco-zombies are the pot-addled, naive tools. Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/25/11 re: Sun Tzu quote Ditto re: E Archer's post. "War is a Racket", by late General Smedley Darlington Butler. Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/22/11 re: Barack Hussein Obama quote Carol from Georgia, you got that right!!! That Narcissist Obamanation has proven himself the hypocrite. Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/21/11 re: Paul Craig Roberts quote Gotta also add that Janis's "Big Brother and the Holding Company" is only the opening act for "Big Pharma and the FDA". Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/21/11 re: Paul Craig Roberts quote Gotta add that Big Pharma and the FDA are the ghouls pulling the strings behind today's money-grubbing "physicians". Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/21/11 re: Paul Craig Roberts quote RIGHT ON!!! Truly on the money once again, J Carlton for US Senate!!! There. I said it. 1 Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/21/11 re: John F. Kennedy quote Well said, Mike, J Carlton__Gotta agree with Carol, JFK was incredibly naive not to have foreseen our current situation. We were ALL naive not to have seen the quiet, sinister workings of our Congressional Lifers. 3 Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/20/11 re: Richard Henry Lee quote What prescience! "...by means imperceptible to (us)", we have lost the Republic to the entrenched career politicians of congress. Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/19/11 re: Yvonne M. Conde quote Yet another terrific quotation which I otherwise would never have encountered. Thank you, Liberty Tree! Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/19/11 re: Yvonne M. Conde quote Anyone who has read _Before Night Falls_, by Reinaldo Arenas, will lose any respect they might have had for Fidel Castro. 2 Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/13/11 re: Police Chief James J. Kouri quote And the liberal mo-fos want to take away the guns owned by ordinary citizens!!! Hypocritically, several prominent Democrats in Congress pack heat, but they don't advertise it. Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/13/11 re: Judge James Paine quote And, don't think for a moment that Congress doesn't have ready access to all the "blow" they can inhale at our expense! Remember Roger Clinton's remark, "My brother has a nose like a vacuum cleaner". The war on drugs is only an excuse for "The Man" to invade our homes and private lives. Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/13/11 re: Judge James Paine quote Were drugs legalized, they could be highly taxed and help pay off the deficit. They would be quality-controlled, and home marijuana growers would add wealth to the economy. All the money spent jailing drug users could be spent in educating the public about long-term side-effects and the medical realities of the more harmful substances. I see no downside to legalization. The only thing worse than a "user" is some "superior, omniscient" a-hole who knows better and feels we "canNOT truly allow people the consequences of their choices". Dumba$$, users are gonna use drugs anyway!!! Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/12/11 re: Dr. Mary J. Ruwart quote BTW, wasn't it the DuPont family who pushed to make marijuana illegal? DuPont nylon couldn't compete, initially, against the cheaper hemp for rope-making. Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/12/11 re: Dr. Mary J. Ruwart quote Dr. Ruwart, you speak the truth. However, the sociopaths who gravitate to public office delight in "control(ling) other people's choices". Our Narcissist politicians are the ideal tools for the true puppet-masters, the fabulously wealthy who are almost never named. You can bet your bottom dollar that these "people" profit greatly from our current situation. Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/12/11 re: Dr. Ron Paul quote How about some civil disobedience? Our bloated federal government of thugs is un-American. Elect Ron Paul, Herman Cain, or Tim Pawlenty in 2012! Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/8/11 re: Thomas Sowell quote Billionaires have much of their wealth in offshore tax havens (Google "tax haven countries"). Obama's efforts to use U.S. tax policy to redistribute wealth will have no effect on "the rich"--the really filthy rich. Obama knows this, and this illusory "justice" is merely another of his talking points. Reply Byron, Fort Collins 7/8/11 re: Thomas Sowell quote To read the entire article from which this gem of a quotation was taken, Google its first sentence, "A recent poll showed that nearly half the American public believes that the government should redistribute wealth.".
