They cannot be trusted with truth as truth to them is whatever they deem it to be. Once upon a time in a place far away and long ago, the press objectively reported the foibles and folly's of BOTH sides. They also didn't blatantly sit in one candidates camp or another. That's no longer the case. 2 Reply Denise, Durango 3/20/17 re: Charlton Heston quote P.S. Criminals do not obey laws...duh. Law abiding citizens who go through the time and expense of taking a firearms safety and self defense class, go to the sheriff's office, get finger printed, photos taken, go through an extensive FBI background check and then wait for up to 2 months to get their conceal carry license are probably the most honest folks you'll ever meet. 2 Reply Denise, Durango 3/20/17 re: Charlton Heston quote Mick, I am a firearms instructor painfully familiar with what happens to unarmed law abiding citizens. The problem is NOT guns, they are incapable of an agenda, the problem is with a "justice" system that's been systematically weakened by design since Clinton fire 93 federal attorneys. Why? they were to hard on criminals. This is what has happened in at least 7 countries since the early 1900's. Weaken the justice system, let criminals do as they will with an occasional slap on the wrist and then lament "we must take those evil guns away from the populace!". Thanks to gun control over 55 MILLION have lost their lives by dictatorial "leaders". Many of my students are older folks who have no way of defending themselves against the thugs roaming freely on our streets! Many women carry because they can't fight off some dirt bag. Check your history. Reply Denise, Durango 8/7/15 re: William T. Harris quote Spoken like a true Marxist! Exactly the same brainwash dumbing down in schools today. Kids are not taught how to think critically, ask well thought out questions...just put on your little Judas goat bell and collar and go for it...Home schooled kids, by and large, stand out in the crowd. Have friends who've homeschooled and the kids are well adjusted: guess what mom and dad care enough to invest time in them; well mannered, intelligent and happy. If I had a business I'd hire home schooled young adults without fail. Reply Denise, Durango 5/21/15 re: American Civil Liberties Union quote As long as it's not Christian liberty! Roger Baldwin, founder of ACLU was a card carrying Communist and rabid anti-Christian. Our Constitution is valid only for a Christian and moral society. A lot of pure evil is being done in the name of "liberty" and the intent and context of the Constitution being used to further destructive agendas.Yeah, that's rich coming from ACLU. Reply Denise, Durango 4/18/15 re: General Douglas MacArthur quote While I agree whole heartedly with what he said I find it sadly ironic that he and Eisenhower were in charge of driving out the WW1 vets peaceably assembled in make shift camps wanting the bonuses they were promised for enlisting. Their camps and belongings were destroyed and many were injured. Reply Denise, Durango 7/28/14 re: Suheir Hammad quote Pure, unadulterated crap. Obviously a Hamas devotee being careful to omit the FACT that these murderers set their artillery up in schools, hospitals, neighborhoods, so the murderers can't wag their fingers filled with the blood of their own people, at Israel! If this is the kind of propaganda this site will continue to post I'm done with it. 3 Reply Denise, Durango 10/4/13 re: Justice Hugo L. Black quote Would that we had a court that indeed held up the Constitution as what it was intended to be to spite the liberal feel good, good "intention" idiocy. 2 Reply Denise, Durango 10/3/13 re: Steve Biko quote So simple but so powerful! 16 words that simplify what's wrong with so much of the world including America. Reply Denise, Durango 9/11/13 re: Charles Wagner quote I agree to a point; but the most disasterous direction in America is turning away from the One Who made the fields and the things that grow in it. I see bumper stickers proclaiming "trees are the answer". NO! The One Who created the trees is the answer.Even the churches are putting the creation before the Creator. Until we return, hearts in hand and on our knees to Him, this country will continue it's downward spiral. 11Reply Denise, Durango 8/16/13 re: Marvin Johnson quote First of all I loathe and dispise the anti-Christian ACLU or Anti-Christian Liberties Union. Burning the flag, or making it into clothing is deeply wrong and disrespectful on so many levels. This organization itself has no respect for our flag or the servicemen and women who've sacrificed more than I can imagine under this very meaningfully significant banner. Men have given their lives just to keep it from touching the ground in battle. There is a deeply rooted reverence for this flag; it's not just a piece of cloth.
