Protesting does no good at all. Our "rulers" expect us to do that and it changes nothing. And if they ever manage to disarm us, protestors will be the first ones killed. ALL of history tells us this....

Magistrates are arbiters of justice...not guru's or wizards. Everything they do is questionable.

Gregoroff, Penticton... if there is NO HARM, what crime has been committed? Leave it up to a BC Liberal to make no sense at all.

The more numerous the crimes listed in the criminal code, the greater the tyranny...

"Individual Rights" ... not collective rights which is an oxymoron anyway. And Reston's observation is even more pertinent today.

I think it's odd that Jefferson would point to English Liberty 13 years after the revolution...But the quote itself is quite valid.

I like Joel's quote better... 5 stars for Joel! ;-)

One of my all time favorite quotes.

Makes sense doesn't it? Law enforcement has been concentrated on those areas, because that is where the problem is most obvious. Take away the drug laws and generational welfare and the situation would change, wouldn't it? People would have to work for a living...imagine that!

Apparently, law enforcement only applies to taxpayers (human inventory). Otherwise a whole lot of politicians would be in jail too.

The wisdom of the founders applies to this and every age. It is time to get back to the Constitution and away from the Marxist / Globalist trend that is stealing the individual rights of us all. Too many puppet Presidents in a row that care not for basic justice are destroying this country, with the latest being the absolute worst in US history.

As opposed to handing our means of production to a communist nation on the other side of the planet....
“Not only the wealth; but the independence and security of a Country, appear to be materially connected with the prosperity of manufactures. Every nation, with a view to those great objects, ought to endeavour to possess within itself all the essentials of national supply. These comprise the means of Subsistence habitation clothing and defence.” –Alexander Hamilton’s “Report on Manufactures,” 1791

Interesting postulation Harvey...however it does seem a rather lofty, vague and open ended statement doesn't it? I'm curious though...while I most certainly agree with enforcing responsible stewardship of our land, water and resources....Who is this "collective" going to be administered by? And what will be their mission? Certainly you can't be endorsing the same government bodies that are presently in bed with corporations can you? The ones who are allowing and in fact participating in burning the Amazon Rain Forests (climate control center of the planet) or using the waterways and oceans as garbage dumps for industrial waste (as allowed by law?) and selectively singling out certain industries for special scrutiny under the guise of "Saving the Planet" all the while doing it for profit (carbon tax)? The same government / industry partnership that is moving their production to China where there are no environmental controls and billing us for "Carbon Credits" to do so...thereby stripping us of the means of self sustaining production and gaining ever more "control" over our existence at every level? Is that who will administer this "collective" Harvey? If so, you can keep it. These people can not now nor ever be trusted so you must (obviously) have a different solution...right?

Again...laws are supposed to be in place to enshrine your rights, not grant them, and preserve justice, not create it.

The entire process is filled to the brim with hypocrisy. Especially when we consider the drug gang leaders socializing with politicians, American law enforcement supplying them with all forms of fire power, and the complicity of AG Holder himself. I don't know which is worse, the violent drug gangs that wouldn't exist with legalization, the law enforcement personnel on the take or selectively enforcing the ridiculous laws, or the system of politicians and bureaucrats that make it all possible, The whole thing added up is about as sick as it gets.

“Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.”

What Archer said! ;-)

The DHS now has what are called "Fusion Centers" where they are assimilating all information on all Americans, much like the Stasi of East Germany. And as contracts between municipal police departments and their respective municipalities expire, those contracts are being picked up by the DHS. So what you end up with are Police Departments whose patches will say "City of " but who take direction from a Federal Agency. As well Obama has been purging the military High Command of anyone who will not obey "him" over the Constitution. This is no longer America but a Globalist Police State in the making.

What do you call a busload of lawyers going over a cliff? A: A good start!

Or in the name of "Security" BTW Russian and Chinese troops will be conducting exercises on American soil in the next 10 days. They will be joining several other nations that will have troops at arms on US soil for an exercise called Grid Ex, which will be a simulation of the power grid being knocked out...that's not at all comforting. And it's all being headed up by the domestic military force known as the DHS...Everyone feeling "secure"?

A passage from Atlas Shrugged seems to explain today's "Justice" system: “Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr.

The right to keep and bear arms is absoulute..unless you are a known criminal or mentally unstable. 5 Stars to the Founders and their wisdom...HUGE thumbs down for the fact that we are descending into tyranny at break neck speed. Since the First Amendment is being ignored, sadly, it will eventually be the Second Amendment that puts things right again.

Justice System? What Justice System?....the whole thing is perverse.

Jefferson and Obama may eventually have something in common...an American Revolution in their life times. Hats off to TJ.
