Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one. Be polite. Be professional. But have a plan to kill everyone you meet. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/18/06 re: Buddha quote And ... standards for the wicked are high? It's easy to be good, like don't steal, don't lie, don't murder. 1 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/15/06 re: Joseph Paul Goebbels quote SPIN is what they call today's supervision of government propoganda. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/15/06 re: Albert Einstein quote Yes, David is elitist ... HE may read the secret documents. 39Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/14/06 re: Vladimir Ilyich Lenin quote Cars, TVs, food, clothing, etc. ... brought to you by ??? CAPITALISTS -- Everyone is out to make a buck. That's capitalism! Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/8/06 re: John Milton quote License? Like my CCW? LOL Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/8/06 re: Edmund Burke quote ...and redistribute our wealth is exactly what our government does! It seems two groups of people get our money...welfare recipients, and the wealthy powerful. The poor use our money on big screen TVs or SUVs (nicer than my 8 year old car), while the rich wage immoral war on or provide aid to other countries. Personally I want the aid so I can afford a new car and TV. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/7/06 re: Yahooligans Reference quote The U.S. is a police state. FBI, CIA, NSA, BATFE, Swat, etc. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/6/06 re: Will Rogers quote Yes, Congress is a problem, but watch your back in court. http://members.aol.com/rommellaw/justicedenied.htm 1 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/6/06 re: Reverend Martin Niemoeller quote How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. The task ahead is daunting, but we must get on with it. The longer it takes to prepare the elephant, the tougher its hide, which makes chewing more difficult. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/6/06 re: Immanuel Kant quote Emotion is overrated. Man's ability to reason would cause most adults to buy a gun for their own security. Sadly, "gun control" is emotionally directed. 1 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/5/06 re: Lysander Spooner quote The "sovereigns" running our country are wrong, yet you'll go along because they just "appeal" to you? Probably in the same way Clinton's, "We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans..." does? After all, who cares about retaining our rights, because it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! NOT! Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/5/06 re: Benito Mussolini quote "...the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." Any form of gun control is unconstitutional. Perhaps from center-field, but not left or right. LOL Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/5/06 re: Adolf Hitler quote Yes, national ID (www.unrealid.com, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/REAL_ID_Act), continued loss of liberty, etc. It's unAmerican. 1 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/4/06 re: H. G. Wells quote Everyone should be responsible for (king of) their own castle. Under socialism, government is king of your castle, and they grant you a little less every year. Capitalism built this country into the power it is (was?), but we are in decline due to socialist practices. Archer is correct, the planks are laid. Rather like replacing the first row of blocks under a pyramid with 2x4s, our Constitutional blocks are being replaced with social programs. It won't be nuclear war but Yellowstone blowing its cork that destroys our world, and when it blows this country will collapse under its own weight, destroying the country, killing millions, who will cry for their impotent government to do something. As with New Orleans after Katrina, you'll have to take care of yourself or die ... rather like Armageddon. 2 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/4/06 re: Walter E. Williams quote We are "compelled" to comply with housing codes, which vary greatly, under penalty of law. An auto is not a bare necessity, but those on welfare would say we owe them one. 2,400 sq ft is a mansion for a welfare family, but not even bare necessity for the affluent. The affluent are entitled to the fruits of their labor, yet you don't want them enjoying their fruit because they are destroying the planet? People are NOT "entitled" to a decent place to live, healthcare, food, etc., relying on others to provide them, but they may earn them for themselves. Protection from without is gov't responsibility, protection from within is your responsibility, which is why there is the Second Amendment. 1 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/4/06 re: Karl Marx quote What, Rosenthal? You mean you DON'T want the gov't to control everything? You want to own your land? You don't want to pay high taxes? You don't want free education? But you LOVE socialism ... don't you? Collective socialist quotes like this are easy to reject, aren't they? Yet it's so easy to agree with small violations of our Constitution, like "reasonable" gun control ... isn't it? After all, it's so "reasonable" ... socialist and unconstitutional, but "reasonable," right? 4 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/4/06 re: H. G. Wells quote Socialism just doesn't work. There is no need to keep any gov't services, they are better served by private companies. Health care would cost a fraction, you'd have money to spend or invest without SS or income taxes. Those relying on charity would be forced to work for a living since nobody would give them a big screen TV and SUV. Gov't could NOT afford to arm, let alone invade, Afghanistan or Iraq, or keep troops in Germany, Japan, etc. 3 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 12/1/06 re: Barry Goldwater quote I'd say "Ask not what your country can do for you, and let them not ask me for anything." People shouldn't be looking for handouts, and the government shouldn't be giving them. Not to the people in this country, and not to the people of other countries. 1 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 11/30/06 re: Carl Gustav Jung quote Reston, what government agency do you work for? 3 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 11/30/06 re: Barry Goldwater quote Wonderful, just, moral, right and Constitutional. Unfortunately, few in Congress follow this line of thought and reasoning. I'd vote for all radicals who spout this inspiring rhetoric! 2 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 11/29/06 re: French Aphorism quote "...the Constitutional Militia's regulation." A reference to the 2nd Amendment? 1 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 11/29/06 re: French Aphorism quote The source is ironic, but no less true. 2 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 11/29/06 re: Benito Mussolini quote In the U.S. you must take care of the government. They demonstrate daily individuals are worth less than the group and the group is worth less than government. The Constitution, our cornerstone, puts individuals first, 180° from what is happening.
