And that's where we are in 2008. I will continue to stand for that which is right. My patience has run out for those standing too far left.

This is one quote that I simply cannot agree with. I guess our founding fathers couldn't get it right 100% of the time. I'm white, however, good and bad occur in all colors, all nationalities, ethnic and religious groups. Human beings are human beings, no matter what color. All are beautiful.

Boy, was he ever right. Was it Jefferson that said that he'd never seen a country go 150 yrs without revolt and blood shed? I wonder if we are not getting close, after a fashion.

We are presently heading toward a similar time, of sorts. I pray God that he sees us well through this one and hopefully, less blood will be shed.

Ben Franklin couldn't have said it any better. How clear does one need to make it? A guide for a moral compass and a guide to current events, right in your home. Hmmm. Refreshing. Ignore this and you will lose your liberties by the abuse of them.

The Hollywood comment isn't surprising. Precisely the point that our founding fathers were trying to make. Lose your moral compass, and you will lose your liberty. We have chosen to let Washington set the compass, henceforth, tyranny is growing in our country. We can rectify that. Let's get to work.

Benjamin Franklin is correct. Even the church knows better, yet it survives. Fair Taxation is a vital issue. Congressman John Linder is leading the charge. We have got to get this ship turned around.

Wake up, conservatives. We must be active. Our founding fathers obviously knew what they were talking about. And we have become complacent and lax. Washington has not, thanks to us. We are headed for major destruction if we do nothing.

Some small liberties must be sacrificed for the greater good and protection of the Republic. Being thoroughly checked at an airport doesn't seem to me a thing of concern. The threat from within is great, and THAT threat is the one that will make us unable to withstand any threat from without. America is more and more embracing adolesence as a way of life for all ages, with the government supporting them, and henceforth, the government grows, liberties are reduced. We, the people, can no longer protect ourselves because we, the people, are giving the government all power, which was never, ever, meant to be.

Ah, and therein the problem lies. "....if you can keep it." And we are not keeping it. So glad this has prompted positive action for some. Please continue. Fair Taxation is a beginning. No more outsourcing jobs. No universal health care. NO MORE SOCIALISM - or we lose our invaluable Republic and liberties. And we gain tyranny.

Chris Gould, I couldn't agree more. So simple and clear. And yet, here we are in 2008, being governed by a great deal of immoral and non religious people. We must act.

Can't get much clearer than that. But then again, that may be misconstrued and muddled by many.

Time to take our Republic back. We've been patient long enough. We've attempted to reason and that isn't working. Contact your representatives and congressmen. Vote, or with hold your vote, as the situation warrants. We must learn from the history and legacy of our founding fathers.

Alas, the moral compass that was once set for our country has turned to the compass of the "fable". Henceforth, much destruction is coming from within. Oh, how I wish America would wake! One does not need to be a Christian to have a good moral compass, as many of our founding fathers knew.

Too late. It's already happened. We need to hard and as quickly as possible to turn this ship around.

This is precisely why I do not understand all the hullabaloo about homosexuals. No "hate crimes" are necessary. No one should commit an aggression toward them and they should keep their sexual preferences out of government. They are not slaves, nor are the oppressed. They are whining selfishly to obtain marriage priveliges. They are simply ineligible. Same with 2 of the same sex not being able to have children. The government and the law does not owe them that. What a waste of time and money. Isn't over 100 billion a year enough spent on homosexual related illness enough?

Wish our legislators and judges would refer to this. Other quotes by other founding fathers, similar to this one, also can be found. We absolutely must use and refer to these valuable resources. But currently, our government is not. The tyranny, and loss of liberty due to the abuses of it, have gone too far already. Make your voice heard. Contact your representatives on issues that obviously are not Constitutional.

Jefferson never condoned slavery. Nor did Washington. Unfortunately, too many could not be convinced otherwise. So the issue was tabled for a time. Many knew it wasn't over. They would have had to fight that war before fighting the one granting us independence. Was this right? I do not know. While being Christian myself, I admire Jefferson greatly because it is indeed, the spirit of our nation.
