Do any of the marxists in here know how one would calculate prices in the socialist commonwealth? How do you make sure the central planners are benevolent rulers who dont take advantage of their positions of power, or how do you plan on having a planned economy without central planners? Once you figure those out and make sure your little utopian experiment is completely voluntary then Im all for you going off and forming communes. But the moral problem with socialism in all its forms comes down the the necessary use of force to make sure everyone goes along with the game plan. The idiotic anti gun logic in here if extended would mean that nobody would be allowed to own knives, baseball bats, rolling pins, or anything that could conceivably be used as a weapon. Nothing in today's quotes fail to recognize an individuals right to organize. By protecting an individuals rights you also protect their right to free association. If you would like to get together with a group of people and vote on something you are more than welcome to, but your group doesnt have a right to violently impose your decision on others. In the case of a "capitalist", (otherwise know as the people who provide you your cars, clothes, etc.) you can just "vote" by not buying their product if you dont like their policies.

Mike, one of the few things I can agree with Hamilton on is that the constitution was a frail and useless document. Too weak, too vague, and therefore too easily manipulated. The only thing it managed to do successfully was centralize power in a federal govt.

Taxation is theft

The only immigration problem we have is the welfare state. If you eliminate that then there is no issue with open borders. We had them for quite a long time and we thrived as a country. When people feel like immigrants are able to unfairly take advantage things paid for through taxation they get resentful.

Inheritance is not welfare. Welfare is money attained and redistributed through coercion. This is why people tend to not like it. Moral people are against the idea of using force to get what they want. The trolls entire world view depends on the use of force against others. He believes the use of violence will help to bring about his utopia. In this way he would make a lovely dictator. Inheritance is voluntarily given. If anything it is more like charity.
