A good observation, but the quotes I tend to like best are shorter and pithier, maybe one or two lines. These are much easier to remember and repeat to others, which I think is why quoting someone is useful for making a point. I am a devoted collector of quotes but I don't think I have put many WHOLE PARAGRAPHS in my list.
