The quote is a good one. He forgets to mention that the most powerful indoctrination begins in kindergarten and continues thru college...as we see today: a generation of perfect little socialists now inhabiting this once free country. It is they who are the largest voting block and they who will be supporting the UNs Agenda 21 and they who will will happily toss out the US Constitution for free phones, free medical care, welfare, and food stamps. "The government oughta..." is their hue and cry for it is what they have learned in our federal education system.

Billy, One is no longer allowed to look under rocks while exploring and must always stay on the path.,,at least in the west. There are signs ever several feet in natural areas to remind kids not to explore anything. I agree with the quote, however, as I had the misfortune to read bits of a high school junior's history book just this last spring. THINK who was the economic model the past 150 yrs? USA...so basically, it appears it is the USA the UN is going to destroy in their defined period of time: the 21st Century (hence the UNs Agenda 21). Well, it appears that industry has left the USA, doesn't it?

Today's quote along with the numerous responses today, show us how far America is moving away from liberty towards communism...and the NWO. More and more people are beginning to believe (not think-thinking isn't very prevalent these days) it will be okay to steal from one person to give to another against their will. When speaking of all of society, this would be a great quote. Especially if speaking to an educated society. Selectively, this isn't necessarily true today. Solyndra is an example...we have a picknchoose government, and we have a whirlpool of politicians, circling round and round DC from position to position, never leaving the comfort of the tax dollar paid bedding they lie upon. DC is nothing like the vision of the Founders...it is a cesspool of winks and nods. It is why we have Trump and Bernie as candidates. It will only get worse as we have had 3 generations of FEDERAL education to teach people to be good uneducated followers...and the 4th generation is coming up fast...

Kids are not allowed to explore their world any more. They don't play outside without an adult until they drive for FEAR that something bad will happen. They are NEVER without the electronic leash where they might have to think for themselves.
Go to the park and you have organized play...go to a National Park and you must not pick up rocks, sticks or step off the trail, etc...so there is NO exploration there, only what they are told...not unlike in the classroom. It may sound like home-school rhetoric, but chat with a home-schooled child who is age 13 and then a public schooled child the same age...and the difference is remarkable...one is miles ahead of the other...guess which one.

I love Yachats, having grown up in the area...nice to see some very intelligent being still exists in the little town (but for the city tax...yuk)...and at the time, in those olden days, most in the area were proud of their self reliability, self responsibility, self sufficiency and self determination, which they took other places with them.
