Reply jim k, austin tx 7/9/14 re: Elmer Davis quote People may honestly disagree as long as they bow down to the cult of political correctness. Mustn't say anything that could possibly offend anyone. 4 Reply jim k, austin tx 7/8/14 re: Alexis de Tocqueville quote Right on,Ken Allyn , and the democratic party is now the socialist party. No need for the socialist party to run a candidate for president as they now have everything they wanted, thanks to both the dems and the repubs. 1 Reply jim k, austin tx 7/8/14 re: Walter E. Williams quote If Williams or Thomas Sowell would run for president I would gladly vote for either. Reply jim k, austin tx 7/7/14 re: John W. Reply jim k, austin tx 7/3/14 re: U.S. Supreme Court quote Who needs congress with Obama issuing executive orders on a daily basis. 1 Reply jim k, austin tx 7/3/14 re: Sir Francis Bacon quote True. Reply jim k, austin tx 7/3/14 re: Norval Morris quote Criminal Law is an appropriate name as cops commit criminal acts daily. And of course, it's all done for our own good ; a slight case of sarcasm here. The wonderful War on drugs has cost billions and has done zip to stop drug usage. It has , however, given us Asset Forfeiture laws by which the police can steal your property without even charging you with anything. They may , and often do, break into homes late at night because some neighbor said there was dope in the home. A number of innocent people have been shot by drug cops after one of these break ins. Yes, criminal law is well named. Reply jim k, austin tx 7/1/14 re: Tennessee Supreme Court quote Mike and John covered it pretty well. Reply jim k, austin tx 7/1/14 re: Mark Steyn quote Anonymous, with gibberish like that, I'd remain anonymous. Reply jim k, austin tx 6/30/14 re: Orson Welles quote Asset forfeiture comes to mind. It gives cops the power to steal anything you own for almost any reason, contrived or not. Reply jim k, austin tx 6/30/14 re: Charley Reese quote Charley is exactly right. Reply jim k, austin tx 6/27/14 re: Dan Baum quote I also agree with Mike. Reply jim k, austin tx 6/26/14 re: Carlton Turner quote Unfortunately, a lot of people will believe such nonsense. Reply jim k, austin tx 6/26/14 re: Anthony Collins quote Reston, I agree, but everyone is subject to preconceived notions. Reply jim k, austin tx 6/26/14 re: Alderman Rodney Barket quote Asset forfeiture is going on all over the place. A cop can stop someone if he even suspects that that a "crime " was committed ,the cop can impound ( steal) the car even if no one is arrested. This is, of course, compliments of the war on drugs. The police state is here. Previous 25 Next 25 SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
