Michael Badnarik Quote

“If I give you a forty five percent chance at lethal injection, a fifty percent chance at the electric chair, and a five percent chance for escape which are you going to vote for? The electric chair, because you're likely to win?”

I guess this is an attempt to explain voting for the lesser of 2 evils (not throwing away your vote because you have a chance to be on the winning side) hmm

J Carlton, Calgary

Looks like for the moment we have to vote for the chair, then figure out how to cut the power (money) supply before it kills us.

Justin, Elkland

Vote your conscience, and teach others why they should do the same. Too often there is no lesser of two evils, only two heads on the same beast.

I voted for one Republican, she is running against our leftist Representative, Lloyd Doggett. Doggett is Obamas lap dog. The rest of my votes went to Libertarians.

E Archer, NYC

To hell with the 2 party system -- the Demos and GOP have been taken over by the bankers. We need a dozen parties like we see in other countries. The thing about Libertarians is that in general, they are not 'party men' -- they are individualistic not collectivistic. It is collectivism that is the true tyranny, and we get that with both our traditional mainstream parties. We must look at changing the rules for getting on the ballot -- that is where the REAL election occurs. The banksters win whether we get a Democrat or Republican -- as long as both parties support the Federal Reserve (from whom they get ALL their money) it will be business as usual. It is WAR, my friends, no doubt about it.

Any American that gains monetary benefit from the various govt. entities should refrain from voting altogether. Even at the point of a prerequisite to signing the back of the check that you cash every month, week, etc. If you want to vote then seek benefit elsewhere

Mike, Norwalk

Mr. Alternative, I agree with you. I'm leaning towards the concept that no individual that derives fiscal benefit from the government (well fare recipients, employees, etc.) All such have a vested interest in robing the public coffers for personal gain. The system where the individual allodium sovereign uniquely could vote has a certain merit.

Waffler, Smith

Lousy quotes as usual. Guys who bash our government etcetera. A government which is generally the envy of the world. Many folk and I would bet many of the above will claim proudly like all the politicians on the tube that America is the greatest country in the world. Then the very same people or many of them will say that this same exceedingly great country has the worst government of all time and has had it for a long time. Now what gives with this dichotomay of great country and lousy government? Has are government and institutions had nothing to do with our greatness.

cal, Lewisville, Texas

Like Jim K, if there is a libertarian to vote for I do. I have never in my life voted for a democrat because I don't like communist socialism.

E Archer, NYC

The New World Order props are starting to fail. The man behind the curtain has been exposed, and the emperor has been called out for wearing no clothes. For decades, most eligible voters have not voted for any of the above -- the silent majority still say NO by not saying 'yes.' Delusion has a price, and the bill comes due. Staying free requires constant attention as every trick in the book is used to get us to give it up for a 'promise' of a better day.

Waffler confuses the People with their government. The People have chartered the government for mutual protection of our lives, rights, and property. When a government becomes corrupted into a ruing class, the People have every right to condemn it and clean house. Integrity in government is the highest order of public concern.
