Otteson quote A poor analogy! Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 5/4/17 re: Adolf Hitler quote Then you must define "Interests of the Nation" Though it is currently the plat du jour which is why we are in the mess we are in. Individual enlightenment is the ONLY way which will determine the position of the whole. We must remember liberty is defined by individual freedom not by the nation as a whole. Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 5/4/17 re: Buddha quote I have seen this many times and the more I see it the more I agree with it! Divinity and religion has nothing to do with quote, it is merely a lesson being expressed. If you wish to change the status quo then you need to be the change - it is the only way; rhetorical lessons and expressions are good but action is what's needed today. Enough of words as they seem never to provide the change that's required. Do we learn from the history books? do we learn from pragmatic debate? do we learn from our elders? do we learn from our schools? the answer is a big NO. We make the same mistakes and make the same rhetoric, and if anything life has been regressive. Unless we individually have an epiphany for the good things will deteriorate and the quickening will be sooner than later. Learn a little before you spew hatred.... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 5/3/17 re: Oscar Wilde quote Indeed so! Unfortunately, most of the clever rouges are buffoons... with no integrity! Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 4/26/17 re: William Howard Taft quote Unfortunately, the tyrants are eating it away, bit by bit... 11Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 4/25/17 re: John F. Kennedy quote How can you not agree with this! it makes perfect sense. As Buddha said "The Way is the middle Way" he took this from a father teaching his son to fish - he said to his son, hold the line neither tight or loose. Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 4/19/17 re: Paul Craig Roberts quote Abolish the FR, IRS, CIA, PA, NDA, NSC, Money in politics, cut DD by 85%, bring all our troops, home, shut down the 700 bases abroad, Medicare for all, severely prosecute police brutality, and a lot more.... Perhaps then America can return to a sense of reason and sensibility. Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 4/19/17 re: Paul Craig Roberts quote I agree with the first two sentence's but the third needs to be written more careful as it misses two very important issues. Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 4/19/17 re: P. J. O'Rourke quote P.s. Wake-up - Health care has never been free..... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 4/19/17 re: P. J. O'Rourke quote Funny!!! Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 4/6/17 re: Communist Party Education Workers Congress quote Archer, you are dead wrong: You can teach children to think for themselves... it's called "Reason" "Ethics" "Integrity" and so on... If only we did teach children to think for themselves perhaps we wouldn't be in the mess we are in! Children need guidance in all matters, That's why birds rarely fall out of the nest. 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 4/6/17 re: Communist Party Education Workers Congress quote So, prey tell me the difference between this and the tyranny Americans currently live under - our children from the cradle are taught to be automatons, while poisoning their minds and bodies. Call it different names but the objective is the same... The success of the JROTC program is the dumbing down and keeping the masses in need.... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 4/5/17 re: Diogenes quote That's why we are producing morons by the bucket! Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 4/3/17 re: James Madison quote Money and greed will forever govern knowledge, unless of course, knowledge get off its %&$ and does something about our state of affaires... At the moment knowledge is acting as if they were ignorant! Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 3/30/17 re: Albert Einstein quote Amazing! 1 Reply robert, Somewhere in the USA 3/28/17 re: John Dobbins quote Things haven't changed one bit except for the fact MSM is now totally corrupt... with the addition of another manipulator, the military/CIA/SS/and the PA Reply robert, Somewhere in the USA 3/24/17 re: Pope John Paul II quote Dumb statement.... 1 Reply robert, Somewhere in the USA 3/24/17 re: Horace quote Unfortunately, in turn is a rare occurrence..... Reply robert, Somewhere in the USA 3/16/17 re: Jim Bishop quote I think a good writer of history is a guy who writes the truth and if he or she doesn't know it goes out and finds it! 7Reply robert, Somewhere in the USA 3/9/17 re: Mike Adams quote Mike Adams needs a lesson on what it is to be Left - the left that is portrayed in the media is a concerted effort to demonized the left like they did with the words Liberal and Socialism. The "leftists" as MA talks about are most definitely NOT LEFT - does he even know where the term originated? (French). The groups MA refers to are termed left by people who have little idea what it is to be left. Many of the comments above sadly fall into the same trap and follow the general confusion that MSM has created to make "Left" a dirty word. Trump is a total tool for the elite and for the corporate boardroom plutocrats - he is no different from Obama who promised everything and gave nothing. Those MA call leftists are so far from the left it's a joke - the guy definitely needs educating about left culture. Many, including some above, have been hoodwinked and brainwashed into the corporate mainstream mentality. Don't they realized they are the ones who are at the forefront of promoting fascism and widening the gap between the haves and the have-nots. America is turning into a third world country where corruption is rife in government, corporations, and our military, who by the way rules much of what the media puts out, and oversees the CIA, NSA etc., etc... The implosion is about to take place - you have one last chance of "Reason" and "Ethics" As Kant said, "The Metaphysics of Morals". Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/23/16 re: William Colby quote Wow! what a surprise - I thought the media was the last bastion of integrity.... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/23/16 re: David Edwards quote This road has been ridden many times and the outcomes is always the same.... 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/23/16 re: Aldous Huxley quote I'm busy moving but I just had to give one of my literary heroes five stars... How prescient this is in today's madness. The most important thing we can do today is to support the decentralization of banking and governments. Britain and France should exit the EU and America should withdraw its political and military incursions around the the globe... OK! that's wishful thinking, but if we don't you may wish you were never born.... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 6/22/16 re: Johann Wolfgang von Goethe quote It certainly does....
