Justin that quote from the bible actually had nothing to do with luke warm. It is a long story but means something totally different that what the reader would take from it with out knowing the history of the Letter and those to whom it was sent.

Secret societies are great because if they exist they can not defend themselves about the propaganda against them and remain secret and if they do not exist then there also will be not defense. Too bad the mental clarity he had did not stay put in Washington. Katrina taught us that the "somebody needs to take care of us" attitude is largely what made the disaster so devastating. People stood around waiting for somebody to help them. The mayor stood around waiting for the governor to tell him what to do. The governor stood around waiting for somebody to tell her what to do but there was a Republican in the white hose so what he said was ignored. People that could have gotten out on there own didn't. Busses that should have been removed full of people were left to be ruined by flood water. Levies that should have been upgraded several times with the federal money given to Louisiana for that purpose were left alone so the money could go to other pet projects. We had helicopters grounded because the press had told them that the choppers were being shot at. We had food and supplies sitting out side of a stadium and not being distributed because the press misinformed them that they could be shot if the entered do to a violent disturbance inside. It means that morality is only demonstrated when you choose it of your own free will. As to not being able to legislate morality - a law may not be able to make a person moral, but a law that is not written to define what is or is not moral in our society has no valid reason to exist.

The civil war was about slavery. Lincoln was about saving the union. It happened to work out to be the same thing in the end. I get so tired of hearing it was about states rights crap. It was about the states right to allow slavery. That is why the civil war started in Kansas in the 1850's. People were being hunted down and killed to stop them from voting Kansas in as a free state. That would and did upset the balance in favor of the free states. The south saw the writing on the wall and panicked. Slavery was coming to an end one way or another and the south chose to have it through blood shed.

As lousy as public education is it still helps the masses. (In spite of the ridiculous indoctrination techniques.) Unfortunately there are very few people like George that would actually be capable or determined to educate themselves. We need a system that creates the best of both. Like home schooling. Of course home schooling is not for everyone. The teachers have to be more determined than the student most of the time and if you had that in every parent then I think that the parents of America would have never allowed the public school system to become what it has.

Waffler as always you are wrong. Most, including Washington were very religious. The countries founders things up to protect religion and its practice. They knew that if religion was run by the state or visa versa it would be a disaster for both our freedom and the future of Christianity as a whole. They were keenly aware of the tyranny of state dictated religion and did not want to see it here.

The problem was that it could only work with a group of perfect people. With out that the only to approach Communism was by force. The only successful Communists are bees and ants. We have yet to discover the pheromones necessary to enslave the human population with out the backlash of discontent. It seem that some think that Obama has those pheromones but most are beginning to realize that it was just a bad smell. Waffler your socialist dreams are crap because you and your cohorts never take into account human nature. That is why capitalism and freedom with all its flaws is superior. With few exceptions our system corrects and recovers from the corrupt while the socialist system is conducive to the taking of power by a tyrant. Your hero Obama and his cohorts intend to try to shove socialism down our throats before we have a chance to throw them out. If they are successful we will be stuck with them and whom ever A.C.O.R.N. selects for us as our leaders. You think that the corrupt that gets to the top in our system is proof of how bad it is but you do not consider that they are often exposed and removed.
