This is why religion should be totally separate from our schools - prayer and amen are words that that are not the domain of any religion - we must be an example to the rest of the world - the only religion I would personally agree with being taught in schools is Buddhism, as its main tenet is to except its teaching on your terms and only take from it what you feel is right.

I want the tyranny of our government out of school. Religion should be taught by the parents in the home.

Religion should be separate from our schools, including the religion of socialism and humanism. Words like "diversity" and "social conscience" should never be uttered in school, not to mention pseudo-science like human caused global warming. Stop brainwashing children and teach them to think. Like the old hippies used to say, question authority.

I find it interesting that the Founding Fathers of the United States came from the same educational background, stepped in religion, that everyone here condemns.

The Jesuits had a saying: Give me the first seven years of a boy's life, and we have him forever. Hitler, a professed moral Christian, also implemented massive government propganda in the classroom. There is a BIG difference between organized corporate religion and faith in 'Divine Providence'. That was a common term used by the Founders as they held some very different views than the corporate Churches of the day -- does anyone remember why people left England for the New World in the first place? Freedom of Religion -- FREEDOM of religion, not Christianity specifically -- and certainly not necessarily the way it was defined to be by the Churches of England and Rome -- nor how anyone else defines it on this list or anywhere in the world. Over and over again the Founders expressed their desire that the matter of religion be considered between a man and his Maker. Should religion be taught in school? Of course -- it is an integral part of history. But let the whole sordid history of religion be told -- and not just Judeo-Christian-Islamic versions, but Native American beliefs, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sufism as well as the classic Greek and Roman philosophies. The question isn't really whether religion can be taught in school, it is whether it is taught as THE TRUE religion. Even Christians are at odds with each other on what that indeed is...

One more thing -- a Jesuit education was considered to be the most complete and thorough education a man could get -- and none defended that statement more than those that were students. Dare I say, they were smart as hell.

Tyranny in the nursery commences with the SS, Obamacare's making life illegal without insurance, etc., etc., etc.

The Jesuit education is to Christianity what the madrassas schools are to Islam. And we all know which of those educational systems indoctrinated our current Dear Leader, spending his formative years in Indonesia.

Ultimately, in the absence of rightly constituted moral authority, tyranny cannot not exist.

The evolution of tyranny in America has been a readily discernible concomitant of its cataclysmic moral and sociocultural declension.

If tyranny is: The violation of those laws which regulate the division and the exercises of the sovereign power of the state. (Bouviers Law Dictionary); then, in a land of liberty where individual sovereigns are united in a body politic (the state), any teaching of implicit obedience to anything other than the laws of nature and of natures God is TYRANNY. It does not matter the source of nursery indoctrination (secular, religious, home, Jesuit schools, Madrassas schools, etc.) it is knowledge of liberty or information at form of tyranny that is endowed. From nursery, through an age of reasoning (as Archer has so well demonstrated here) the child is the most sensitive to acceptance of life styles (from natural law to enslaving ideologies), then acted out through a life time. By such discovered experience, tyrants insure implicit obedience to their dogmas and canons by perverting the noble children of man in theocratic seminaries (government and otherwise schools), media, toys, literature, etc., etc., etc.
