From the War on Drugs to the Patriot Act to the NDAA to Obamacare ad infinitum, the government has unceasingly declared broad measures 'for our own safety' and in the process turned us into a bunch of lemmings. Putting the government in charge of enforcing itself to obey the Constitution is a corruption of the Law. With so much power unchecked, the govt has now assumed power over every aspect of our lives, labors, and property -- they have made themselves an aristocracy that we must obey or else...

The here referenced police power implies a despotic philosophy of control and prevention outside that which the individual sovereign enjoys. Once that is implanted in the minds of fearful helots, serfs and otherwise slaves, the slippery slope is set so the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land can pursue all means of broadly stifling fundamental personal liberties. 5 stars +PLUS+ for the observations of J Carlton and E Archer, a thumbs down for the originating premise.
