Perhaps "star candidates" and celebrity are unconstitutional after all. "Those who can do, those who can't are celebrities." -- Gölök Zoltán Leenderdt Franco Buday; or "A celebrity is someone with no discernable talent who somehow manages to gain notoriety." -- Gölök Zoltán Leenderdt Franco Buday

Sounds like Madison was talking about Narcissists, and we've got a textbook case in the White House right now.

Too many we have who would better themselves at others expense and sacrafice.

That even explains the Manchurian Candidate in the White House.

Which is why the American republican form of Constitutional governance was established as a check against the 'passions and weaknesses of the human breast.' The 'progressives' today suffer from an ugly disorder -- while they recognize that greed and lust for power causes a great many problems in the world, they do not acknowledge it within themselves. This ignorance allows them to take the 'moral high ground' while in fact, they are just as corrupt as those they aim to rob in the name of social justice. The Constitution was designed to protect us from them, not empower them.

"History shows that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit and violent means possible to maintain control over governments by controlling the money and the issuance of it."--President James Madison
