Great words from a great thinker.

Editor: So far this week I feel like I'm trapped in a bad joke. Two socialists and a libertarian walk into a bar.....

If I wake up tomorrow to find quotes from Simone de Beauvoir, Mikhail Bakunin, and Adam Smith I don't know if I will laugh or cry.

Judith, Corrales

It makes for better movie, doesn't it? Meaning freedom with danger than slavery with peace.

Abigail, Newport

I am standing for something, both yours and mine in spite of the peril...

Waffler, Smith

Probably a false construction or tradeoff. How about liberty with peace would not that be the best deal. Ask anyone or study anyone who has been enslaved and ask how much peace there is in that. Some including myself do not feel very much at liberty when crime, illegality, and fear stalk the streets of the nation.

So, what do you want? Crime and illegality are effects of this vile system of property, therefore the police is needed to keep it up. But when these bastards patrol the streets, I don`t feel free at all. When we overthrow the state, chaos will form until an equilibration takes place. Liberty with peace, meaning liberty with government will never be possible.

E Archer, NYC

Spoken like a true house slave, Waffler.
