It was precisely their obstinacy about trifles that irritated the righteous to madness. Why can they not yield on so trifling a matter?” ~ Leo Shestov Russian philosopherAll Things Are Possible, 1905 Conscience , Courage , Disobedience , Dissent , Free Thought , Heresy , Honor , Integrity , Persecution , Religion , Responsibility , Agnostic Ratings and Comments 1 Reply Mike, Norwalk 5/12/15 A generalization that has a lot of events to back it up. For example: in the Unified Socialists of Amerika (USA) the occupying statist theocracy infesting the land bitterly persecutes the least deviation from accepted beliefs and the canons derived therefrom. In office, or otherwise employed, zealots of the here referenced USA exhibit extreme irritation at non acceptance to their righteous madness. 1 Reply E Archer, NYC Mike, Norwalk 6/16/20 The Stalinist Purge in 2020 Amerika is heating up. Thought Crimes are punished. Cancel Culture demands One Party Rule, the heretics be damned, fired from their jobs, banned for life, ridiculed, and stoned by the outrage mob. Is there one Maoist tactic of subversion going unused? Who are the book burners and censors? Who is responsible for hosting Kristallnacht in every major Leftist city for weeks? Who insists on complete capitulation and subservience to authoritarian rule? Who is the purveyor of massive propaganda? Who promotes Eugenics and the elimination of inferior races? Who really harbors Hatred towards others based upon their race, religion, or conscience? Who aborts more black babies than are born? The real Nazi's don't even realize who they are!! Reply jim k, Austin 5/12/15 Muslims consider everyone else as heretics and they don't mind killing them. When will we wake up to the dangers of Islam. Reply E Archer, NYC 5/12/15 When there are obviously insane zealots who will kill anyone that insults their God/prophet/savior, we can more easily assume our own correctness and ignore our own hypocrisy. Those that broadcast their tolerance are often loud and long-winded in their attempt to veil their own obvious intolerance.
