I believe the reason the U.S. became the most innovative, creative, etc power on earth is because of the freedom at law that was in harmonious one with such genius, Now that, that greatness is gone and the breath of free air has been polluted, so goes the genius, it is being choked into oblivion.

Of course the EPA will tell you that the air is polluted and will place several hundred restrictions on you.

That, of course, is free as in unrestricted, not free the way government uses the word to mean paid for by someone else.

That is why the genius of jazz came from maybe the free-est social environment or social order of all time New Orleans. American freedom was more than just politcal freedom, that is democracry, but it was freedom from the styles and conventions and social order of old Europe.
