Pretty hard to argue with that.

I tried...I really tried...but I just can't get my head around the Church of Gore.

Poor J, willing to see a religion behind any power figure, so wanting to worship others, so explainitory of his world views... and so illustrative of this quote.

I was surprised last week when a radio DJ wished Seasons Greetings over the air by saying Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukah, Merry Christmas and then the shocker he said and Happy New Year to our Muslim friends who call December 18 New's Day and he went on to explain that it is 1400th or so year since Mohammed's trip to Mecca.

The real test of one's openness is whether one is willing to admit the shortcomings of his own ideology.

Archer, spot on. The quote is 100 percent correct - those with an open mind can discuss any subject without the temperature rising. Objectivity comes about through compassion and imagination it has little to do with knowledge.

Reston I don't see religion in everything....just the Church of Gore because it takes a giant leap of "faith" to believe anything that con man says. I thought it was also ironic that Mr. HopeyChangey came back from Hopenhagen and stepped right into a foot and a half of global warming...perfect!
