Gandhi did not believe in the disarmament of the People. A distinction should be made between 'war' and 'defense'. All of us have a right to defend ourselves by any means necessary -- however, we have no right to wage war upon another. Non-violent non-cooperation with evil is the most powerful force because it starves the armed oppressor without the use of arms. Brilliant.
