SA Oberfuhrer of Bad Tolz Quote

“All military type firearms are to be handed in immediately ... The SS, SA and Stahlhelm give every respectable German man the opportunity of campaigning with them. Therefore anyone who does not belong to one of the above named organizations and who unjustifiably nevertheless keeps his weapon ... must be regarded as an enemy of the national government.”

Welcome to an unlawful, unconstitutional, and totalitarian Amerika of We the statist theology; oh wait, that was Nazi Germany.

J Carlton, Calgary

How long before our own government starts calling armed patriots: insurgents?

jim k, Austin,Tx

Seig Heil to the Brady bunch.

Waffler, Smith

That "national" government was not of, by or for the public. The public does have an interest in limiting private weapons. Hell even the most "unorgainzed" primitive tribe has enough sense to control danerous weapons in the village and around children. Am I to assume Mike, J, and Jime would not qualify to be members of such a tribe.

cal, lewisville, tx

These thug gangs so well armed remind me of Naomi Wolf's THE END OF AMERICA. Will history repeat itself?

Waffler, if I ask you what your favorite color was, would you answer public or society. Waffler, what is the magic number where the individual loses his sovereignty and unalienable rights to a plural ( lawless, faceless, nameless, criminal with out justice - Borg mob). Waffler, I have a face, I have a name, I am a law abiding non-mobster so, you may assume correctly, I would not qualify for your exampled tribe.

Waffler further, that "national government" (statist theocracy) that now infests this land is neither a government of, by or for any one individual sovereign(s), "We The People", or the public. The current "national government" has declared that legally, it is in toto aloof form all else. It holds all rights and ability to make law (a god), as an organic hegemony superior to any human (individually or in concert) As a very brief example: it practices compelled compliance, license, victimless crimes, larceny with impunity and complete non-recognition of individual sovereignty and inalienable rights. Mere patrons and otherwise worthless rabble may vote for their jailers and oppressors but not any personal representatives. The above quote is but one of the tools / processes (in said foreign "national government" that is infesting this land) used to afflict and destroy a once free people.

Waffler, preach your sanctimoniuos, statist worlld view to your local prison population and see how far you get!

Waffler, Smith

Mike you always favor or lean towards power and respect for "We The People" but then you are always against "the public". The "public's schools" are government schools in your view. Why don't you consider them to be "We The People's" schools. You really are a crazy mixed up conflicted guy or you just need a new vocabulary. Which is it do you think? The way that you talk your idea of We The People is Me The People and you have no room for the concept of Us The People. If enough of Me The People type "thinkers" get together don't they become eventually Us Some of The People, and maybe even We All of The People. Quit being so misanthropic Mike you are not the only one with rights.

Waffler, Constitutionally, under "the laws of nature and of nature's God" (Declaration of Independence) the expressed "We" and "People" are individual sovereigns united. There is no plural without single persons. A "public school" would imply individuals gathered for education (under nature's laws / science, math, accurate history, literary advancements, inalienable rights, liberty)  NOT! ! ! a statist theocracy's (in government form) indoctrination of dogma and absolute obedience to immoral canons.

Waffler, this public (mob rule) you are so supportive of, can you give me its address. Your "public" is very elusive. I've tried to subpoena this "public" of yours so that I might have my accuser stand before me (I've needed to challenge alleged facts, dogmas, law, overly broad terms such as military type firearms, who is defining unjustifiable, statements such as "shall not be infringed", etc.)

Citizens of the world need to remember these words! Every genocide in history occurred because the leaders successfully disarmed the populace. Ask a cop why he still carries his gun when he is off-duty or whether he has it locked up where he can't reach it in an instant. Waffler's groupthink cannot comprehend the idea of personal responsibility or the concept of the sovereign citizen -- the sum total of which is called We The People. The group of sovereigns does not have more 'rights' than each individual in the group. The collectivist mind set is that might makes right, therefore they attempt to vote away the rights of those unable to oppose them. I will not bother to explain to Waffler how the meaning of words have been twisted by government to deceive us into obeying their dictates instead of the other way around. Collectivist groupthink is best demonstrated in the book 1984 -- read it, and you will understand that the statist must twist the meaning of every word in order to make his ideology make sense. With enough Wafflers in this world, we would soon be slaves to the state just as was the case in Hitler's Germany, Mussolini's Italy, Stalin's Russia, and FDR's United States -- er, I guess we are further along the path of despotism than I would like -- the big question is whether Americans wake up in time, because the hand-writing is on the wall...

That's like the fox demanding (making it law) to protect the chicken coup

Red Wolf, MN

His statement is similar to what I have been thinking. That whole stupid join or die belief, should be America's new catch phrase, and Waffler, you might want to think before you speak, for what you say is called a hypocrisy. America was never meant to be like Nazi Germany, yet it has become because of total ignorance of groups like the Tea Party and of other American citizens. Here's a solution: read a fucking book and stop watching so much goddamn FOX.

Carol, Georgia

Waffler."We the People" is a subjective phrase. It means anyone and everyone living under our Constitution. "Us" the people would mean the objective case as in a collective sense. That is not what the Constitution means. "Public schools" does mean government schools because they are funded by Federal as well as state governments. State government should be responsible for schools. The more the Federal government meddles in education the worse it gets and they have an agenda because of the funding. The schools in Nazi Germany were run by the government and students were indoctrinated there. Confiscation of weapons is a crime against humanity.

E Archer, NYC

So, RBE, how is this quote any different than the one from Hand Gun Control, Inc. to which you gave 5 stars? It is the same thing, and for the same reason we should not prohibit the possession of arms in America. Seems hypocritical.

The first thing an oppressive government does is disarm the citizens. It shows in history even before the invention of the gun. During the time of William Wallace, the king of England made it illegal for the Scottish people to own a sword or any other military weapon. Of course, the Scotts disobeyed the law and used those arms to gain freedom.

    Critical Thinker, Michigan

Anyone got a problem with citizens owning certain types of firearms ? Full automatics in particular ? Probably not that big a deal....consider; they make more noise (gives away your position-where's your tactical advantage now ?! )...wastes more ammo ( in real use and practice )...they DON'T automatically hit the target for ya....when the police arrive, they'll bring hell with em to take ya down, instead of just shooting you...Yeah, more folks could get killed faster, some real horrible stuff happens via gangster use, etc....but only a real fool would heap that kind of trouble on themselves (except coming downstairs to respond to the burglar maybe ) Also, if ya consider how critical the role of a sniper is, just try and replace their weapon and camouflage with a full auto...may as well remove the sniper all together. Snipers still contributing one bullet at a time....even the military believes in that !

    Robert, Somewhere in the USA

    Sounds familiar...

    Mick, Manchester

Archer, when you glibly reference George Orwell's 1984 to support your thin justification of individualism you ignore the fact that he was a committed democratic socialist and fought on the side of the POUM in the Spanish Civil War - read "Homage to Catalonia" - He latterly became convinced that the pen is mightier than the sword, gun, bomb and we now have his incredible works to evidence that force of argument not force of arms is the only basis for true change.
And seriously Carol, Georgia "confiscation of weapons is a crime against humanity" Mass production and mass availability of weapons and the death and destruction they cause is a crime against humanity. Death by gun shot has been monetized in America and you are blinded to this fact. Do you all seriously think by the right to individual gun ownership you do anything to promote libertarian values in today's world??

    E Archer, NYC

Mick, I do not think that the book 1984 was Orwell's dream for a socialist future. Is Big Brother, complete surveillance, and perpetual corruption of language itself the socialist ideal? Note that in Orwell's day, the common Brit was armed. Carrying arms has always been the responsibility of a freeman -- slaves were prohibited (and still are).

It is not about guns, Mick, it is about taking responsibility, whether by pen or sword. Bow to your Queen, if you prefer, but must we all?
