It seems to have a good message. Reply Anonymous 4/7/09 re: Joshua Liebman quote Yes. However, you should accept the beliefs in the sense that they exist and they have the right to exist. Reply Anonymous 4/7/09 re: John F. Kennedy quote Yes, yes, yes, YES! Thank you, Kennedy! People! Listen to this guy! He's got the right idea! Reply Anonymous 4/7/09 re: Lyndon B. Reply Anonymous 4/7/09 re: Horace Greeley quote So true. 1 Reply Anonymous 4/7/09 re: Mahatma Mohandas K. Gandhi quote Personally, I believe that a person should search for truth in his or her head in addition to his or her "heart," but I do agree with Gandhi wholeheartedly that no one has the right to coerce others to act according to his or her own version of truth. Reply Anonymous 4/7/09 re: Justice William O. Douglas quote True. Reply Anonymous 4/7/09 re: Joseph L. Blau quote Or the freedom to practice no religion at all. 2 Reply Anonymous 4/5/09 re: Ronald Reagan quote The point is in WHAT IT SAYS, not who said it or who claims so-and-so said it. Besides which, just because Reagan liked it so much doesn't mean he claimed authorship, and he certainly couldn't control whomever might say that he said it... egads. 3 Reply Anonymous 4/4/09 re: Robert A. Reply Anonymous 3/29/09 re: Norman Thomas quote Undocumented [and fictitious] sources are valueless. Reply Anonymous 3/27/09 re: Edward Bernays quote I like Reston's response; I appreciate the fact that he didn't just go on a rant about how liberals are ruining our nation, bla bla bla... very complete comment. Also, a republic is a KIND of democracy. Reply Anonymous 3/27/09 re: Neal Boortz quote So far, all the public schools I've been to have encouraged me to think for myself and to question my society, my government. Reply Anonymous 3/27/09 re: Wendell L. Wilkie quote Yes, thank you, Wilkie! (Of course, people in the United States still ridicule others for their beliefs and call them unpatriotic just because they're different... kind of hypocritical). Reply Anonymous 3/27/09 re: Huey P. Newton quote Racism is definitely an evil, but I'm not so sure about capitalism. Reply Anonymous 3/27/09 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Actually, I think most of our early presidents were pretty far off to the right. Reply Anonymous 3/26/09 re: Mahatma Mohandas K. Gandhi quote I can't believe Gandhi said this! Reply Anonymous 3/26/09 re: Samuel Adams quote Perhaps, unless it is amended (Which it should be). Reply Anonymous 3/26/09 re: Robert G. Ingersoll quote Please understand that I'm not trying to attack you for your religious beliefs, John-Douglas; you have every right to believe whatever you will about the origin of man. But there are some things I think you simply mistaken about -the theory of evolution is, in fact, based on hard evidence (the fossil record, for instance). Also, to question old anthropological theories as new facts arise and to teach the most up-to-date scientific information in schools hardly qualifies as building edifices to ignorance and illiteracy; if anything, the teaching of evolution is trying to discourage ignorance and encourage in young people a better understanding of the world around them.
