This was part of Dr. King's "I Have A Dream" speech, and I have a dream that someday more Negros will judge Caucasians by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

With all due disrespect to the socialists and communists who have called their evil groups "liberal" and "progressive," if the name fits, wear it.

We need a separation of school and state.

Some people believe that a representative de-mob-ocracy is a republic.  I don't.    http://www.diffen.com/difference/Democracy_vs_Republic

But, if you follow this advice in this land of the formerly free and home of the formerly brave, you will be accused of vigilante justice.

Those of us who still believe in liberty find that the written Constitution is a major ally in defending our dwindling liberties. For example, the Second Amendment helps us defend the God given right to bear arms in our defense against the various forms of tyranny .

Why do we let the 5-4 DC Supremes rule on the contract between the Federal Government and the States?

Abraham Lincoln squashed the idea in this quote and stomped all over the quaint concept in the Declaration of Independence that governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed.

Article 29 (3) of the UN Declaration of Human Rights says, “These [your individual] rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.” That is, the purposes of the UN supersede yours, not exactly what our Bill of Rights maintains.

A lot of our DC employees have become "more equal than others".

By today's standards, Saul Bellow would have to be a racist. Everyone else is.

Frequent repetition of a wrong seems to create a right when the 5-4 DC Supremes misinterpret constitutional provisions, such as with Obamacare. With them, might equals right for a long time.

Another question is the definition of peace. To some, that is for you to peacefully give them everything they demand, to be their slave.

Our country's brilliant founders rejected mob rule (democracy) and mandated a republic in Article 4, Section 4. More info: http://www.diffen.com/difference/Democracy_vs_Republic

Totally wrong! All the First Amendment says is that you can't use government to retaliate. Individuals can certainly respond. Others have freedom of speech too.

Before FDR, the regressive "progressives" started their campaign to destroy our republic and replace it with a representative democracy. Since our government schools teach the lie that our government is a democracy, you may want to share this link with your youngsters. http://www.diffen.com/difference/Democracy_vs_Republic

Statisticians are lying again. It's far worse. No business has to include their expenses in their taxable income. Why do the American taxpayers have to allow the EXPENSE of government to be included in Gross Domestic Product?

Durham, Birmingham, AL

Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! You can't charge them with a crime, but you absolutely can respond individually in non-violent ways. You certainly can tell them what you think and refuse to associate with them.

We no longer have a good government because we have bought the lie that our republic is a democracy--an evil form of government which allows the majority to trample on the rights of the minority.

And don't accuse me of being an elitist who wants to deny the vote to any citizen. The Greeks had a (failed) democracy and did not allow women or slaves to vote. We could have a republic (again) with or without universal suffrage.

Acting as a democracy, rejecting our republic, and ignoring the Constitution, the majority has voted for a combination of the two in America. We just call them regulations and public (schools, etc).

Good to hear from you, Eric. Unfortunately, you must not have gotten the memo. Freedom is now un-American.

With our current drug policy:
Street drugs are readily available.
Drug lords have gotten rich, powerful, and deadly.
We need to pay for more prisons, guards, judges, attorneys, court houses, etc.
People rob and burglarize us to pay for the expensive street drugs.
Citizens who earn the displeasure of politicians can be selectively prosecuted.
With such a successful plan, why would nut cases suggest we change it to one like we use with another drug--alcohol?

Our Congress passes illegal laws to buy votes and obtain bribes (political contributions).
Our President refuses to enforce some laws and passes his own illegal laws with executive orders.
Our 5-4 DC Supremes say that illegal (unconstitutional) laws are fine with them.
Our DC employees in both parties and in all three branches flaunt their disdain for the law that applies to them—the Constitution.

It is time to get our wannabe masters back under control, and voting is not working. Our Constitution has been damaged. It is time to revive and strengthen it with a convention of states. Visit and support www.conventionofstates.com today.
