Reston, as always you are quick to show your support of all avenues leading to a police state. In Canada the gun control laws are also being torn down publicly. In fact de-registration and destruction of the gun data base is in Parliament and past nearly all hurdles. A return to freedom is in the wind, mostly because sensible people are just plain sick of all the controlling crap coming from this government as well. That and taxpayer's are paying a fortune for something doesn't work for anyone but the criminals.

I agree with the quote and JB Wulff. But I do not rule out that the threat we face might be from "within". After all, why would Napolitano be putting gun owner's, minutemen, vets returning from overseas...patriots in general on a watchlist? What are they afraid of? What are they hiding?

An 8" PVC pipe capped (sealed) at both ends and buried off your property somewhere will hold some very handy items. I know some ex soldiers and policemen who do this.

Racial groups, Unions etc. having a collective bargaining power that supercedes individual rights is the problem I believe being described here. The logical fact is this: If rights do not expressly pertain to "individuals" then they are not rights at all. "Group rights" is an oxymoron.

Here ya go Cal, the latest developments: http://www.gunweek.com/

Exactly right. Real laws, real ethics, real principles.

Mike, There is a VERY good reason that Americans are arming themselves to the teeth in the last two years. (I'm seeing the same thing here in Canada. Lots of soccer mom's at the gun club.) Why? everyone feels the growing police state. Yes it's being exposed.

And in this age of enlightenment...every gun grabbing Liberal out there knows they are advocating an eventual police state. They are indeed sick individuals.

Waffler, from you that is typically twisted thinking. The right is for the people to keep and bear arms so that they may defend themselves from the Government that has attacked and disregarded the Constitution. How is it that Liberals manage so consistently to warp every simple and pure thought that America is founded upon?

J Carlton, Calgary

"The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." Period!

I'm stunned! Myself and one other person are the only two I knew of that were aware of the distinction in law described by Mike and Archer. It's the same in Canada. Man if people only knew...

There must be some ruling somewhere prior to 1934 that would embarrass or make null and void some piece of legislation in place today, and they don't want it briught up.

Archer, its coming back with a fury. That's why the statists are moving as fast as they can to break us and disarm us. They're scared and they should be.

There's a new Marshall in town. The name's Napolitano. And the law is whatever she says it is. And as far as she's concerned...we won't be "secure" until we're all bound and gagged.

Glad I could help brighten the day. :)

Treason is still treason, no matter if it is deemed expeditious to the percieved needs of the day.

I think its important to note that when dealing with tyrants, Washington did not choose to use his right to free speech, he shot them.

Cal, further to that thought: Does it make sense to you that all of our constitutional rights should be in the hands of 5 government lawyers? (Supreme Court) That might be called a jurisdictional dictatorship.

We're in the final stages of "Democracy" now. What comes next will come from the barrel of a gun.

It hasn't been so important as it is now, since the War of Independence. There are scoundrels in the White House.

They have always won due to their power and the influence of wealth. The first such occurrence in the US came by way of Alexander Hamilton who brought in the first central bank. He also was the first to decide that the Constitution was a document in place to give the government Imperial style powers and set out make that wonderful document one of British style rule. He was a traitor. His legacy is the Federal Reserve. No central bank, no political manipulation of the economy. If we are to be free men, the Fed has got to go..

Thanks guys....sadly though it wasn't just Blackwater. It was also the Natioanl Gaurd and the NOPD. Makes ya wonder just how far our paramilitary outfits will go on government orders doesn't it?

Here's a thought: Gun Control is the absurd theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own panty hose is somehow morally superior to the woman explaining to the police how her attacker had his head blown off.~ Beat that gun grabbers!
