Unless it was done by a Policeman or aristocrat....."You have the right to free Speech as long as you're not Dumb enough to actually try it" ~The Clash, 1982 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/23/12 re: Noam Chomsky quote Unless of course you are advocating my death because I don't believe in your religion. Or advocating the removal of my freedoms. That is not freedom of expression, it's a crime. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/22/12 re: Sir Winston Churchill quote Gee Don, I beg to differ that the American Dream is only a myth because of personal failures...It's a myth because the TRUTH is that the American Dream is largely unnacheivable for most under the banking / tax regime condoned by our political leaders that robs us all blind every day...now, I think I'll go for a dip in the pool. :) 4 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/22/12 re: Jean-Jacques Rousseau quote We don't even have the appearance of freedom anymore...not if you've been paying attention that is... Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/22/12 re: Sir Winston Churchill quote The difficult thing about "the truth" is that it shatters all the illusions planted by our parents and our schooling. The truth is we are economic slaves and the American Dream, for most of us...is a myth. Freedom is a myth. Justice is a myth...Abolish the Fed and Restore the Republic. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/19/12 re: Alexander Hamilton quote I have to wonder why Hamilton could say something so important and meaningful, and then turn around and spearhead the advent of central banking in America? He was obviously duplicitous in nature, and for some reason I smile a little whenever I think of Aaron Burr shooting him dead. He had it coming. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/18/12 re: John Fund quote Insanity and Keynsian Economics are one and the same. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/18/12 re: Perry de Havilland quote I've said it before and I'll say it again, if we are to restore a public sense of personal responsibility, accountability and morality we must return to the Constitution. In order to do that we must first rout out every politician who is in the pockets of the Globalist bankers and Abolish the Federal Reserve, it's collection wing, the IRS and return to sound currency. No more paper currency out of thin air. We've been playing a losing game of Monopoly against a Banker who has infinite supplies of...garbage money. Of course we lose...every time! Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/17/12 re: Yaron Brook quote It's interesting that the left and the occupy folks are focused on the idea that "capitalism" is the root of all evil. We've never seen real capitalism on a large scale, if at all. The government and big corporations and banks are all about protecting monopolies, not promoting free trade or allowing opportunity for all. And that's BOTH parties. Real capitalism is the guy who fixes motorcycles eventually building a sales and service shop. The baker who gets up at 3:30 to make sure there are warm loaves available to buy. The janitor who hires people to help him take on bigger contracts, the store owner who risked his own money to set up a corner shop, the house framer who becomes a developer, and so forth. These are the people who create an economy and these are the true capitalists. So I'd love to ask the occupy crowd...are these the people you want to tear down? 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/17/12 re: Robert Bidinotto quote True statement all around. But I would add that both parties are in the same boat as far as their encroachment into the rights of idividuals. One advocating socialism, the other promoting crony capitalism. Neither are true to American values as defined by the Founding Father's and the Founding Documents, which is what brought me to be a Libertarian. I don't subscribe to anything but the rights to property and individual sovereignty. And I advocate the same rights for everyone. Socialism sucks and crony capitalism sucks. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/16/12 re: James Bovard quote Waffler asks...Are not city, state, and national taxes that go to airports, roads, Amtrak subsidies.?...the answer is, NO WAFFLER THEY DON'T. That money comes from the "thin air" bankers who then receive our tax dollars as interest payment on the THIN AIR loan they made to the government. This system allows our government to run amok with the THIN AIR LOANS while taking NO responsibility...it's criminal and so are the low lives who collect that money for the THIN AIR Bankers. Say...you're an IRS boy aren't you? 51Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/16/12 re: Franklin D. Roosevelt quote FDR helped to destroy the nation and turn people who work for a profit and liberty into economic slaves. His marxist policies are revered by the very simple minded who didn't seem to notice the government hand in taking away the means to make a living and the desruction of the economy, but did notice the bowl of soup they stood in line for...and were grateful...what complete idiots. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/16/12 re: Dean Inge quote Many intersting points. Our domestic police forces are ever more militarized (and if need be under UN control) We are forced to comply to a multitude of policies including extortion. The entrenched unionized bureaucracy is a self serving entity in place to stifle and confuse. Censorship and half truths are an absolute in the main stream media. Espionage? Easily comparable to the fact that we are under surveillance both publicly and privately. Control of private expenditure is implemented through personal income tax...work harder...pay more. We live in a dysfunctional and sick society and the source of the disease is the Global Bankers and their goal of one world government. Restore the Republic and Abolish the Fed. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/16/12 re: Glenn Woiceshyn quote "One byproduct of individualism is benevolence: -- It is the only moral source of benevolence. The individual who has worked hard and made something of himself can usually afford to be benevolent to greater and lesser degrees, and human nature is generally inclined to be so. As opposed to socialist doctrine which claims to be the ultimate system of benevolence but ends up being a system of scarcity. In the long run, no one will be benevolent in a socialist society as each individual is barely able to meet their own needs. Not to mention that living under that sort of societal control is immoral and detestable to all who wish for any sort of adventure, travel or personal challenge. Socialist's need not concern themselves with altruism or benevolence...Big Brother takes care of all that...and everything else for that matter. Socilaism is a Disgusting System desired only by the slovenly and unimaginative. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/15/12 re: Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. quote Hanson said it for me. :) Get government out of the marketplace. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/15/12 re: Milton Friedman quote The war on drugs is probably the most useless endeavor ever embarked on by anyone anywhere. And it isn't about public safety or for the public good. It's about control and the power to enforce (ridiculous) laws. After all, the power to enforce laws is the only power the government really has over us...so they make lots and lots of ridiculous laws that have nothing whatever to do with justice. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/13/12 re: Ayn Rand quote Well said as always Dick. I'm forever amazed at the eloquence and intelligence used by Liberals to win hearts and minds over to their way of thinking. Ayn Rand must be totally wrong because Dick used a two syllable expletive to refute her observation...I know I'm convinced. LOL 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/12/12 re: Ayn Rand quote Mann, those who provide labor are providing labor because it's all they have to offer. That is the nature of things, always has been. Without creative capitalists...what do "the labor" have to offer? It's a cooperative aspect of nature and if labor doesn't like being labor, they can go to school or go into business for themselves and take the risks. I have personally worked my way into a very comfortable position after starting out with nothing...twice. I did it by outworking and outhinking those around me. And so can anyone else who has the drive. Reply J Carlton, calgary 10/11/12 re: Dianne Feinstein quote To all you gun control idiots...You'll be proud to know that you are in infamous company. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Idi Amin, Pol Pot and a host of other tyrants and murderers would happily agree with you...Gun Control Works. If you're trying to rule a society with and iron fist or commit genocide that is... Not one of you can make a valid or moral argument against my natural right to defend my life or that of my family. You are immoral idiots, one and all. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/11/12 re: Michael Rothschild quote Wow! An obvious truth stated quite plainly...and from a "Rothschild". Wow! They're still the world's most sophisticated criminals, but hat's off to Michael Rothschild for his rare moment of honesty. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/10/12 re: Murray N. Rothbard quote Until the State becomes an ever present omnipotent God...and the people have nothing. This is what is ultimately desired by both the Progressives and the Neo-Cons. Don't forget to vote for the lesser of two weasels! ;-) Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/10/12 re: Hillary Clinton quote Hillary obviously feels that she is an aristocrat speaking to an audience that is far too stupid to understand that she is a straight up communist. The arrogance is astounding. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/9/12 re: Michelle Malkin quote And that culture of entitlement runs from the halls of Congress to the welfare lines of the nation. It has to stop. ALL of it has to stop. 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/9/12 re: H. L. Mencken quote And in the end..."sameness" is what we get. We've come a long way from a nation of rugged individuals and trailblazers. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 10/9/12 re: Thomas Paine quote Or worse yet...are raised to believe they are part of a global ruling elite that sees the masses as cattle to be disposed of at will. Which is what we are seeing today from the new American Aristocracy. (and others) Read all you can about Agenda 21. 5 starts for Paine's foresight.
