If a drug user breaks into my house or my car to support his habit, under a system of justice I would have the right to protect my property or my family...but we don't have that. When the prohibition of alcohol ended, the murder rate in the US dropped by half. Legalization of Marijuana would greatly lower the number of people in prison, who are not really dangerous anyway...as well as greatly reduce the violence in Northern Mexico.
