Rothbard quote Reston, how narrow minded of you...as usual. I think this quote was written for people like you. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/16/10 re: Murray N. Rothbard quote One of the great economic minds of our time. And he's perfectly right. How can ANYONE think Stimulus is anything other than a destructive and inflationary tactic to destroy us? 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/15/10 re: Sir Walter Raleigh quote Carol...that's when we fire them! :) 255Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/15/10 re: Dr. Adrian Rogers quote Joy...nothing is done by way of tax dollars. Nothing. All government spending is done by way of loans from the central bank. Your tax dollar, every dime of it goes to pay the interest on those loans. In this method all taxation is unnaccountable and will never be borught under control. Pretty sweet deal for both the politicians and their wreckless spending as well as the central bankers who loan money created out of thin air and make profits at a rate they themselves are allowed to set. That's one hell of a gig if you can get it. Unfortunately it equates exactly into eternal economic servitude and explains why we are seen as "inventory". 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/15/10 re: Ayn Rand quote Good one Mike. I think it was Ludwig vonMises who said: "Governnment is the only entity that can take a valuable commodity like paper, slap ink on it, and make it completely worthless". 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/15/10 re: Ayn Rand quote Another completly non sensible comment from Reston. The quote references the use of fiat currency as opposed to gold backed currency. How do you get that it attacks the barter system out of it...delusional? Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/15/10 re: Dr. Lawrence W. Reed quote There are many policies here now that can be compared to the former Eastern Bloc countries. TOO many! 237Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/15/10 re: Dr. Adrian Rogers quote Some of this thinking was borrowed from Bastiat's "The Law". And it's as simple, sensible and logical as it can be. So how did we end up with a Government policy of "Spreading the Wealth" ? It's a policy of destruction. Get prepared. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/15/10 re: Ayn Rand quote Rand was right about this. But this method apparently was working fast enough, so now we have a new method..."stimulus". 4 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/12/10 re: Sir Walter Raleigh quote What the hell does the quote have to do with voting anyway? And in a Republic we hire statesmen and administrators, not elect politicians. The US is supposed to be a Republic, not a Corrupt Socialist Democracy with a foreigner roosting in the White House. 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/12/10 re: Byron C. Radaker quote "Jim and Carlton, are you insane"; RBESRQ, I gave you no reason to address me at all let alone call me names. Stick it! You worthless Socialist. 5 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/12/10 re: Byron C. Radaker quote jim k, this is the best description I've ever seen for folks like Reston ~ "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/12/10 re: Sir Walter Raleigh quote The quote is accurate. Disarmament goes way back. Owning a sword under King Henry was punishable by death. 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/12/10 re: Byron C. Radaker quote Keeping people needy is the key to political power. We need to let the Feds know that we do not need their help as it is the source of every problem we have. Their job is the protection of our inalienable rights and securing the borders. They can`t even do that right. Let`s not end up like the UK socialist, disarmed and under surveillance....like hamsters in a cage. 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/12/10 re: Daniel Pilla quote They've also issued IRS agents with shotguns. Which literally puts them in the category of Highway Robbers. And we pay for that. 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/11/10 re: National Socialist Party of Germany (NAZI) quote I notice there are no dissenting views from the liberal quadrant here...hits a little too close to home for you Nazi do-gooders, doesn't it 6 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/11/10 re: Roger Pilon quote Alex, we're talking about "principles" here. Maybe that's where the quote lost you. Yes it is that simple. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/11/10 re: Ayn Rand quote The goal now should be to repeal everything the sitting Kenyan has done...and then keep going back through the laws of every administration until we once again have liberty. Or just chuck the whole affair into the sea like our ancestors did. Either way, it may have to be done the same way the Feds are doing business...at the point of a gun. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/11/10 re: Robert Nozick quote I think it goes against better business practices to have a silent partner who provides no service and assumes no risk but takes (by force) half of everything you have. Pretty much makes innovation pointless doesn't it? That's what socialism does...it kills human action. 7 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/11/10 re: Roger Pilon quote The interpreted expansion of the Commerce Clause was a result of Alexander Hamilton's forays into central banking. He layed the groundwork for special interests and general taxation. It's sad the other founders did not have him shot as the original traitor. And thanks again Reston for yet another totally twisted interpretation from whatever planet it is you live on. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/10/10 re: Thomas Paine quote Something to accompany Paine from S. Adams: “Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say 'what should be the reward of such sacrifices?' Bid us and our posterity bow the knee, supplicate the friendship and plough, and sow, and reap, to glut the avarice of the men who have let loose on us the dogs of war to riot in our blood and hunt us from the face of the earth? If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!” Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/10/10 re: Friedrich Nietzsche quote RBESRQ, You have got to be kidding! Capitalism can not exist without Socialism? Socialism is the cancer that holds back the Real benefits of Real Capitalism. When we are all interdependent in society, as we all are in pure capitalism, we find that altruism and philanthropy are natural occurrences...and can NOT be mandated by government without the taint and corruption that comes with government. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/10/10 re: Thomas Paine quote Resistance to tyranny is a duty and fear must be controlled, or channeled...into anger. 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/10/10 re: National Socialist Party of Germany (NAZI) quote This could easily be compared to today's political parties that are dragging us slowly to One World Fascism. The next civil war will be between We The People and...everyone else. 6 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/10/10 re: Mario Palmieri quote that's about right tony. And nothing could be more repulsive except maybe rape or murder...all of which should be punishable by death. Previous 25 Next 25 SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
