Sprading quote 1913, an interesting year for this quote, when we got the Fed and the 16th ammendment. It's been downhill ever since. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 8/3/11 re: Charles T. Sprading quote "Government is not eloquence, not reason, it is force, and like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." George Washington Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 8/2/11 re: Michel de Montaigne quote If he thought they had a lot of laws then, he should see the mess we have now. Laws spawned by this War on Drugs are among the worst. 2 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 8/2/11 re: Max Stirner quote Bernie Madoff is in jail for life for doing things that Congress does on a routine basis. Roger Clemens was on trial for lying to Congress while they lie daily to the citizens of this country. A crime for us is business as usual for the boys and girls inside the beltway. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 8/2/11 re: Emma Goldman quote Actually it started around 1860 here in this country. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 8/1/11 re: Bert Masterson quote Elaine, USA, please explain your comment, it makes no sense. 6 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 8/1/11 re: Communist Party Education Workers Congress quote The commies try to get 'em when they are young, sort of like in our government schools. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 8/1/11 re: James A. Bruton, III quote This monstrosity known as the War on Drugs is a perfect example. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/29/11 re: Susan B. Anthony quote I might add that if you are expecting the police to protect you, think again. After a thug comes into your gun free home and rapes your wife and then kills you both, the cops will be happy to make a report and try to find who did it. This will be a great comfort to your remaining friends and family. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/29/11 re: Samuel Adams quote Some things never change and this quote was true then and now more than ever. Mike and J are right on target with their comments. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/29/11 re: Massad Ayoob quote Hello Reston, it's good to get the hammer and sickle viewpoint. What does teen suicide have to do with anything and how many kids have been killed by overly nervous gun owners. Teen suicides are sad but if someone wants to kill themselves there are many ways to do this. The "overly nervous gun owner" thing is so preposterous as to need no comment. Little children sometimes drink Draino, by your reasoning should we ban drain cleaners. Read, assuming you can, the quote again and compare it to your nonsense. 4 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/28/11 re: Boston Evening Post quote Written in 1769 and applicable today. Some things never change. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/28/11 re: Arkansas Supreme Court quote J, they "get it" but after all, they are commies. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/28/11 re: Aristotle quote I'm with J on this. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/27/11 re: Jean de la Bruyere quote For a real education about the causes of the global economic meltdown of 2008, get the movie documentary, "Inside Job". You get a pretty good idea who is really running things in this country and the ending is amazing. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/27/11 re: B. Bruce-Briggs quote Though I am not a hunter, I know several hunters who have Phd's and are pretty "articulate and literate." 4 Reply jim k, Austin, TX 7/26/11 re: Robert E. Lee quote CHN, it was the rascal Sherman who should have been hanged. The "Great Emancipator" only freed the slaves in the states that wanted to secede. Lincoln didbn't care a whit about slavery, this was added later to give this horrible war some degree of morality and get Lincoln reelected. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/26/11 re: New York Times quote This was on the Op Ed page and was simply stating a real possibility. It wouldn't surprise me if the current administration caused a calamity in order to declare martial law in this country. I wouldn't put anything past this Obamunist bunch. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/25/11 re: Sun Tzu quote Traci, the problem is that we don't "win" wars anymore, as in Korea,Viet Nam, and the mess we are in now. Wonder why that is. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/25/11 re: Richard Henry Lee quote Right on, J Carlton. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/23/11 re: Barack Hussein Obama quote P.S. Carter is even worse now that he is an ex-president. He runs all over the globe knocking this country and never sees a leftist dictator he doesn't love. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/23/11 re: Barack Hussein Obama quote Ann, We had a "born again Christian" president awhile back by the name of Jimmy Carter. Carter was one of the worst presidents in our history. Two of our best presidents, Adams and Jefferson were Deists. I care not about the religion of our leaders as long as they aren't Muslims. Jimmy has made me a bit leary of this "born again" thing. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/22/11 re: Zachariah Johnson quote The Brady Bunch and the Obama crowd are working overtime to disarm the citizens. If this happens only cops, the Army, and criminals will have guns. And did you see the video of the man driving a lawnmower down a road with several wagons of beer behind on his way to a party.A burly cop pulled him over, threw him down to the pavement and handcuffed him. When the man asked of his rights, the cop said he had none. It is probably on YouTube, if so, check it out. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 7/22/11 re: Black's Law Dictionary, 3rd Edition quote Ah yes, those nasty ol' white terrorists, except for the muslims of course. Eveyone knows that Islam is the religion of peace. When they cut your head off, they always do it peacefully. Previous 25 Next 25 SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
