Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. quote I doubt that love would have prevailed when Pearl Harbor was bombed. Reply jim k, austin 11/11/08 re: Abraham Lincoln quote Abe should know as he presided over the bloodiest war in history. This war was about secession which was perfectly legal and should be called the War of Northern Aggression. 1 Reply jim k, austin 11/10/08 re: Nathaniel Branden quote Chris, right on. You nailed it. 3 Reply jim k, austin 11/10/08 re: Paul Kirk quote P.S. To find out more, read "Bad Trip" and go to the website, LEAP.CC. 4 Reply jim k, austin 11/10/08 re: Paul Kirk quote It paid handsomely for Al Capone and the boys when prohibition was law in 1920-1933. Crime is paying well while this foolish war on drugs is going full blast. The war on drugs cost over 70 billion last year and does nothing to slow the flow of drugs into this country. It has, however, made drugs easily available to children, made drugs cheaper and more potent, increased crime in our streets, and filled our jails to overflowing. A real bargain for only 70 billion per year. 2 Reply jim k, austin 11/10/08 re: Nathaniel Branden quote Depressions don't just happen, they are caused and the wrong people are always blamed by the politicians. 2 Reply jim k, austin 11/10/08 re: Maxwell Anderson quote Obamanism spelled out. Reply jim k, austin 11/7/08 re: Civil Servants' Year Book quote Yes Waff, everyone should be locked up who disagrees with you. Reply jim k, austin 11/7/08 re: Joseph Sobran quote Comrad Waffs first sentence tells it all. Karl Marx couldn't have said it better. 1 Reply jim k, austin 11/7/08 re: James Bovard quote The outrageous farm and dairy subsidies are a perfect example. Reply jim k, austin 11/7/08 re: George Washington quote Waff, you are nuts taking a swipe at George Washington. So he married well, so what. At least he didn't get it like todays politicians do who go in to Congress rich and come out 10 times richer. 2 Reply jim k, austin 11/6/08 re: Franklin P. Adams quote One of the greatest scams in our history was when our government outlawed owning gold, except for jewelry, and the sheeple marched down to the banks and swapped their gold for paper. I believe this was under the Franklin Roosevelt administration. 1 Reply jim k, austin 11/6/08 re: Civil Servants' Year Book quote We can argue all day about who may have said this quote, or whether anyone said it, but it is accurate and true. Reply jim k, austin 11/6/08 re: Adolf Hitler quote Hey Waff, check out what happened to the German economy prior to WW 2. Libs never learn. 2 Reply jim k, austin 11/6/08 re: William R. Mattox, Jr. quote Waff is still using the old saw that liberals have been using for years, raise taxes on the rich. Nuts like Trice and Waff can't get it through their skulls that the wealthy are the ones that start businesses and create jobs for others. Democrats have used this devisive tactic to buy votes for years and can someone please tell me how raising taxes on the wealthy is going to help anyone. Punishing productive people by raising their taxes will only hurt the economy . 1 Reply jim k, austin 11/5/08 re: William Marcy Tweed quote He not only did the nominating but probably the counting as well. Democrats made vote stealing an art form. 6 Reply jim k, austin 11/5/08 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Dems in Chicago and Duval County, Texas stole elections for years. " Landslide Lyndon" was elected by a margin of 87 votes after a recount. The slogan in Duval county, always the last precincts counted, was "tell us how many votes you need." Wonder how many votes were stolen by Acorn in this election. 1 Reply jim k, austin 11/5/08 re: Clarence S. Darrow quote Obama just proved it and Marx and Lenin would be proud. Reply jim k, austin 11/4/08 re: Woody Allen quote Mr Obama ran on a ticket of hope. Hope , however, is a word meaning delayed disappointment. 21Reply jim k, austin 11/3/08 re: Mark Twain quote I believe that many, if not most of Obamas supporters are caught up in the hype and have no idea who B.O.is. He came to Austin during the primary race with Hillary and drew a large, rather raucous crowd. I watched as the crowd left and many walked past my office. A motley crew and most looked like they weren't smart enough to pound sand in a rat hole but they were carrying Obama signs. They were buying the B.S. of "Hope" and "Change".Hope is disappointment delayed and we aren't going to like the change. 2 Reply jim k, austin 11/3/08 re: Thomas Sowell quote J Carlton said it well. 1Reply jim k, austin 10/31/08 re: Sir Winston Churchill quote I'm with Mike and Bryan on this. 1 Reply jim k, austin 10/31/08 re: Abraham Lincoln quote From a man who only brought up the slave issue when Northerners were fed up with the war and he was up for reelection. 3 Reply jim k, austin 10/31/08 re: Laurence J. Peter quote I blame the liberals in congress and the people that vote them in. 11Reply jim k, austin 10/30/08 re: Walter H. Judd quote The " lesser of the evils" is just a term used when you don't care for either candidate. While I am not enamored with either candidate, a McCain administration will do far less harm than an Obama one.It would be lovely to have a choice between two fine , upstanding candidates of flawless character, but I live in the real world and it is what it is. We have a chance with McCain, none with Obama. Previous 25 Next 25 SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
