The problem lies with additional legislation intent on equilizing and balancing ... race, sex, common sense, morality, and nearly everything. These laws are blinders to redirect our focus from the Constitution, toward socialism. As Neo said, "there is no spoon."

Most current politicians pose as servants. Scrutinize what they do to us (i.e. increase our taxes, wage war on innocent people, vote for their own benefits, etc.) and you realize they serve themselves.

The beneficiaries of our welfare state have no desire to be other than a slave because they neither want nor take responsibility for themselves. They just take more and more and more from the government, and government gives and gives and gives of our money ... not theirs.

Helorat is exactly correct, the people of New Orleans who stayed are too stupid to think and act for themselves, and didn't act even when told to leave. Reston is definitely liberal and socialist, who thinks he (she?) is compassionate and caring, but really causes suffering for those on welfare by wanting the government to providing nearly everything with minimal restrictions. Those on welfare stagnate on their butts by not needing to be responsible for themselves. It ends up costing taxpayers more and more. I want to keep my money for my own needs.

Reston, by your words, our founding fathers were "radical fools." The blood of the victims at Waco and Ruby Ridge is as patriotic and red as the troops who die in Iraq. Since Congress does not respect the people, perhaps it IS time for a rebellion. Term limits may go a long way to increasing the respect of Congress for the people who elected them, and put Congress on the same social security you and I have.

Dick, there is no reasoned thought in what you write. You say people are aggressive by nature, blame war on socialism, then proceed to say we need more socialism. New and better (a more socialist) government continues to put us into more wars (i.e. Afghanistan, Iraq). Socialism collapses under its own weight, i.e. Nazis (National Socialists) and USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). You can't keep restricting people and expect them to conform. I expect more liberty, more freedom, less government and less socialism. If you want fewer wars, keep our troops inside our own borders, butt out of international politics (we are NOT the world's police), and get back to the Republic we are supposed to be ... not the socialist country you are pushing.

What is quite obvious is that you can have IMmorality with or without faith. Examples? Bill Clinton (if you want more immorality, vote for Hillary), the Moral Majority (hahaha), George Bush (Sr. & W.), Ted Kennedy (this pompous legislator will tell you what to do then not do it himself), Al Gore (global warming is a fraud).

A liberal is a conservative who has not been mugged yet. If a criminal kills every little old lady he attacks, then every little old lady is better off carrying a gun. The question becomes "Will we run out of little old ladies or criminals first?" If 0.2% of the population are violent criminals and 6% are little old ladies, criminals are outnumbered 30 to 1 ... so we run out of criminals first!
