Alas, sometimes it takes strength & violent acts to get attention enough to bring undertanding...

I studied transcendentalism and while it is a great art form or a manner of classifying a type of writing genre, I feel it has little to offer other than that. When we only see reality as a concept, we are living in a world of make believe. I would tend to agree with the input from Reston VA. Great insight, thank-you.

A NICE LITTLE QUOTE, BUT AGAIN FOR A UTOPIAN WORLD.

Terry Berg, Occidental, CA

It's a sweet sentiment and may be valid in some cases where it's not thwarted by some ideology or doctrine like tribalism, nationalism, theism (or belief system), fascism, socialism, capitalism, etc., ad nauseam. I'm sure it seemed a sensible philosophy at Walden Woods within a relatively homogeneous mind set.

Peace can only be achieved through understanding that any violence you do to me will be answered with overwhelmingly, costly and brutal violence done to you.

I believe! Yeah!! That's true...
