I think you have more to fear from the radical left, particularly the "environmental" movement. They will tell you it's not "necessary" to own that big house or big car or truck. Under the guise of protection of the enviornment they will take away your property, and your lifestyle, because they decide you don't need all that. The Patriot Act is just a boogie man that the leftists scream about to blind you off their real plans.

Sadly, every time there's any kind of a problem within the community / nation, far too many people are saying the Government needs to "do something". Guess what folks, the government is usually the cause of whatever problem we are having so why would we trust them to fix the problems they've created? What the Government needs to do...is back the hell off!

We live in times of moral cowards, unwilling to look full on into the train wreck about to happen to them. If they would only look, they would realize that safety is as simple as ackowledging the train and driving their parked car off the tracks.

Everyone agrees -- except when your own party is declaring the emergency. I think it is odd that Republicans now complain about Obama's renewal of the Patriot Act -- when Bush did it, it was fine. And now of course, no Democrats want to stop renewing the Patriot Act. Collectivism is the real enemy to Liberty.

Need is associated with survival. In times of peace without invasion, war and pandemics the quote is applicable.The author doesn't delve into the war man has on each other, our nations and on nature.
