Mark Twain said something along the lines of not letting school interfere with your education. Read subjects being taught in colleges today and you can see that there ain't much educatin' going on. We used to joke about a course in basket weaving but that would be a great improvement over courses like "women's studies".

This is a good reason to stop arresting people for prostitution. Both parties in this case have something that the other party wants and they make a business deal to provide it. Cops waste many man and woman hours setting up traps to catch prostitutes and "johns" , time better spent catching real criminals. There seems to be a notion in this country that if something is a "sin" then it should be against the law. Maybe some puritanical instincts still carry over from when "witches" were burned.

Prohibition never works, almost everyone knows this, even the slugs in our congress. This being the case, why on earth do we have this "War on Drugs". I have a liberal democrat friend that I have coffe with about twice a month, and he tells this story. He used to send donations to UNICEF until he did some research. He found that the guy who runs UNICEF makes 0ne million two hundred thiusand dollars a year with perks galore. He also found that 5% of the donations actually reach any children. Typical UN hubris. we need to get rid of this bunch of commies.
