Sadly, in America today, our leaders are making us work so that their unconstitutional debts are paid for generations to come...they must work. The people in office today have the idea that Americans owe the world a living at the expense of their own. Jefferson was correct... Impossible to know how to grade this... 1 Reply abby 9/22/22 re: Miner Searle Bates quote Still sending our children to public school ... where NOW they learn to be racists (CRT), and they can have sex changes without parental consent...and abortions without parental consent...and are sexualized beginning in kindergarten. Shame on the federal education system and anyone supporting this devastating turn of events. This is NOWHERE for children to spend their days. Morality has slipped away...perhaps a few of the more steadfast souls for righteousness will survive the state we are in today. Its a pretty good quote but a great number of young people would look at you and roll their eyes ... because they won't get it.(considering J Carlton's note from 2010) Reply abby 9/15/22 re: Albert Jay Nock quote Yes, never more evident than now. 1 Reply abby 9/15/22 re: Joseph Sobran quote WE MOVED forward to make lives better and more convenient in the USA for more than 200 years. Now politicians are forcing people to move backwards 200 years to inconvenience the people, while improving the lives of the politicians. Sorta like a new kind of slavery without that title. We are learning everyday the ideas our government has for us...but it appears mostly to protect them and the power they have taken from sleepy voters. We can thank politicians and main street media for the meme of 'the USA is a democracy' Reply abby 7/8/22 re: Jamaica Kincaid quote ...AND NOW...the NEA wants mother and father eliminated from the speech of children...NO WAY...STAND AGAINST THIS BULLPUCKY Reply Abby 7/6/22 re: Theophilus Parsons quote Too many illiterate people today...the kids don't even have a clue what 'freedom' means...they don't even play outdoors without an adult present. 1 Reply Abby 6/30/22 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Never have I seen so many people in Congress who give an Oath to uphold the US Constitution and their votes violate their sacred honor to do so. I think we have about 10 congress members who believe the Constitution is even okay to uphold if their voting records are an indication. Please look up the score card which grades on adherence to the Constitution ONLY to get a picture of whomever you have voted for in the House of Representatives and the Senate. This is the only one I have found so far and its in the "Freedom Index New American". They give reasons for each...tho you may have to search for that. Reply Abby 5/20/22 re: James Madison quote No one should expect to spend a lifetime of mingling with others and expect a right not to be offended. It would require censorship, a ministry of truth, or a wizard of misinformation...heheheh...that will never happen in a nation with a 1ST Amendment like the USA, right?I do love it ... Reply abby 4/27/22 re: John Stuart Mill quote It appears there is something going on here...that we are learning nothing about if any of this is true. How do we know any more what is true and what isn't? we are surrounded by trolls, and theorists as well as those in our nation who want to see us destroyed if their actions are to be believed. I am certain most of the current Congress members have never read the Constitution which they held up right hand and swore an oath to.https://jamesroguski.substack.com/p/wake-up-and-smell-the-burning-of? and the rest of this is: The US Constitution. WE may have until May 22-28 to save the USA...if this is true...it is It looks convincing. Is this a lie? Are We the People no longer in charge here? Or is tyranny arriving without giving thought whatsoever to our Constitution? Reply Abby 4/18/22 re: Immanuel Kant quote So what is that niggling little feeling one gets just thinking about smacking someone who says something stupid? My mom always told me to listen to God when he was reminding me of how to behave. 1 Reply abby 4/15/22 re: Tecumseh quote Don't miss the point.... Reply Abby 4/13/22 re: Michael Ellner quote Great observation; who is Michael Ellner? There are several listed here and there; who uttered this quote? Reply Abby 4/7/22 re: Cat Farmer quote And further, Many phrases in the Declaration of Independence were originally preached by the Rev. John Wise (1652-1725) who served at Congregational church in Chebacco Parish in the southeastern part of Ipswich, Mass., whose sermons were reprinted and published by the Founding Fathers before the Revolution. So God, as you might see if you study, was a very important part of the Founding of America. It matters little how many times Lord is in the Constitution because the 'frame' of the Constitution has reference to God many times. The frame being the Declaration. One might ask if not from God, then who do the 'blessings' of Liberty come from. NO ONE ELSE. Reply Abby 4/7/22 re: Cat Farmer quote According to Richard Henry Lee, American Statesman and Founder, Thomas Jefferson copied the Declaration of Independence from John Lock's book "The Two Treatises of Government," which cites the Bible over 1,500 to show the proper operation of a civil government...and the book was about 400 pages long. Whole lot of God in that...Spare me other people's good intentions. I am self reliant, self responsible and self sufficient...at least as much as I can be with government watching over me like a wayward child. 1 Reply abby 3/24/22 re: P. J. O'Rourke quote It is in full bloom now and much is lost for those who step out of line. 2 Reply Abby 3/22/22 re: Thucydides quote I am always curious why we are bringing anyone a democracy. None of the Founders were fond of a democracy. The Constitution has it not once in it. Article IV Section 4 of the Constitution tells us what type of government the USA has: a Republic...and yet...no one tells us that 'we' are bringing/taking 'them' a Republic. The 2 systems of government are VERY DIFFERENT! Reply Abby 3/17/22 re: Tokugawa Ieyasu quote A lesson in how to trust no one... Previous 25 Next 25 SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
