Anslinger quote It's amazing to see how racist and ignorant people used to be. Reply Anonymous 2/25/09 re: Graham Greene quote Cool. 11Reply Anonymous 2/25/09 re: Dr. Chester Pierce quote In some ways I agree with what this quote has to say, because I don't think people should be blindly faithful to anything; they should be able to back their feelings logically, rather than with propaganda. However, I don't think well-informed nationalism and patriotism is necessarily a bad thing, as long as it doesn't lead to arrogance, imperialism, or prejudice. Reply Anonymous 2/25/09 re: Tom Clark quote This quote is hypocritical and its "logic" is circular. 23Reply Anonymous 2/25/09 re: Dr. G. Brock Chisolm quote I don't agree entirely with this quote (I think individuality is extremely important) but I do tend to think that religious dogmas and blind patriotism sometimes get in the way of needed progress. Reply Anonymous 2/25/09 re: George W. Bush quote This quote isn't even grammatically correct! Reply Anonymous 2/25/09 re: Benjamin Franklin quote I've read some of "The People's History of the United States" in my history class; it's an interesting and eye-opening perspective you usually don't learn in school. Reply Anonymous 2/25/09 re: Jimmy Carter quote I don't really know about the invasion of Yugoslavia... haven't studied it yet in history... but what he's saying is essentially correct. The ends DON'T always justify the means. 5 Reply Anonymous 2/25/09 re: Benjamin Constant quote So true. When a government makes an unjust law, it is the responsibility of the people to refuse to abide by it (I think I'm paraphrasing Gandhi). 1Reply Anonymous 2/25/09 re: Auguste Comte quote I disagree with Comte, but I just want to point out that this quote is not talking about socialism, but rather social positivism, which are two entirely different things. Reply Anonymous 2/25/09 re: Charles-Louis de Secondat quote Nicely phrased with an ironic twist. Reply Anonymous 2/25/09 re: Alexis de Tocqueville quote Sad, but true. Reply Anonymous 2/24/09 re: James Madison quote When manufacturing was exported to foreign countries the true interest of the citizens was given away, with lack of consideration or Not? (hostile take over!) for the best interest of the people and country we should retain the ability to support our way of living. This has been taken away from us through marketing and the law of % growth per year in capitalism. We have all been betrayed with the means of not being able to produce the life in which we live! Get back to your wood shops! Reply Anonymous 2/24/09 re: James Madison quote Whats Up with this Quote? Did he see the path of least resistance to annialating 90% of the world? 2 Reply Anonymous 2/23/09 re: George Washington quote The "Deists" argument makes me laugh. Their speaches are packed with word for word quotes from the Bible, OT and NT (i.e. see Christianity).. However, if you are ignorant to scripture you might not realize they are quotes from the Bible. Most of these men were Christians.. how politically incorrect of me to make such an accusation. You may not agree with them but call it like it is. Reply anonymous 2/22/09 re: Thomas Jefferson quote THIS IS NOT A QUOTE BY JEFFERSON! IT IS A PHONY AND COMPLETELY BOGUS!!!!!! Reply Anonymous 2/21/09 re: Alan Greenspan quote You guys would probably give thumbs down to life itself. It is such a cruel world isn;t it! 1 Reply Anonymous 2/20/09 re: Bill Bonner quote If this is true than the system was doomed from the start! Reply Anonymous 2/20/09 re: Alan Greenspan quote Double talk. Get ready to lose more freedoms, folks. Reply Anonymous 2/20/09 re: Federal Reserve Bank of New York quote What you will never see in the news is that banks loan nothing but pens to sign notes. Credit is nothing that can be loaned. The Fed said their system of plunder "works only with credit|" Reply Anonymous 2/12/09 re: Thomas Jefferson quote It may be famous, but its not Jefferson. According to the OED, "inflation" and "deflation" were not used in the monetary sense until long after Jefferson's death. Search the online archives at http://etext.virginia.edu/jefferson/texts/ for "inflation" "deflation" and "depreciation" and you will find that the latter was the term Jefferson used for the devaluation of currency. Reply Anonymous 2/12/09 re: John Kenneth Galbraith quote In my book, I defined economics as the art of convincing people that paper is money and enslaving them with it while while an economist is one who is skilled at calming the sheep while they are being shorn, See: www.morpix.biz/dc For 29 years I have offered 100 pounds of money to each person who would just describe the money that government spends. I have had no takers! The Fed said their system of plunder "works only with credit." They told the truth. Reply Anonymous 2/9/09 re: Cullen Hightower quote Ken if you are right about a 100% swing or reversal in the polling numbers that it is really amazing. I'll google it. 2 Reply Anonymous 2/5/09 re: Frederic Bastiat quote Ah, yes...the "swindle-us package" put forth by the Great Swindler Himself, the One, full of Hope and Change. Has buyer's remorse already set in? Reply Anonymous 1/29/09 re: Will Rogers quote Keep government local. It's easier to get your hands on them.
