Hannity and Orwell were on the same page. The novel was about what would happen if the socialists took over. Written by a reformed Communist that had come to realize the hideousness of his former belief system. Maybe rereading the book and paying close attention to the beginning would be appropriate in this case. That in itself puts them down the list of problems that should be handled. It would be great if it was possible to solve every ones problems in this world but we are very fortunate if we can solve but a few that we cannot avoid- like the Middle East. 3Reply warren, olathe 11/15/07 re: John Quincy Adams quote We have no Gestapo. If your phone calls are being listened to it is because you are conversing with some one that is deemed a threat to us. Or if it was during the Clinton administration it was because they thought you might have info that would help their corporate contributors. Thank God we have an administration that isn't going to just shove their head in the sand like Bill and Hillary did. When truth and fact have no relation ship it makes it easier to fool people into thinking socialism is a good idea. 1 Reply warren, olathe 11/15/07 re: George Santayana quote That is why it is so important to our school system to rewrite history. Reply warren, olathe 11/14/07 re: Peter Abelard quote Nobel would have decided against setting up his peace prize if he knew that it was just going to become a leftist circle jerk. I can remember when it was a prestigious award. Now it seems you can’t get it unless you are a terrorist or an idiot. It is just where they are tested. 4 Reply warren, olathe 11/14/07 re: John Locke quote Real history being taught would destroy the chances for a "socialized "society. With out bombs "intelligence" in this world would do no good. Only an idiot would think that "intelligent" people do not need to defend their selves. The brightest are of course going to be the most affluent and it naturally follows that the "socialized" are going to attack the most affluent so there is nothing good to compare to. A thorough knowledge of the world brings with it the realization that good bombs are indispensable. 2 Reply warren, olathe 11/14/07 re: Heraclitus quote Properly passed laws can be changed when bad by the people. The Supreme Court makes law and we are told "hands off". This says to us the Supreme Courts laws are more valuable than those made by the people's representatives. Congress needs to be changed to not only represent decency and honesty, but needs to be willing to impeach the leftist members of the court system before we are totally cut out of the law making loop by the court system. We are no longer "by the people for the people," we are becoming "by the lawyers and for the lawyers". 1 Reply warren, olathe 11/12/07 re: Alan Barth quote yep Reply warren, olathe 11/9/07 re: Dr. Benjamin Rush quote That is why the fairness doctrine.
