Most Americans have no clue (or care) about other countries. The world knows more about us than we do about them. Our ignorance and arrogance will be our demise. 2 Reply Logan, Memphis, TN 11/13/07 That and a 30ft high cement fence along our southern border. A socialized society CANNOT initially use knowledge to solve it's problems, it must use force. 2 Reply Ken, Allyn, WA 11/13/07 Intelligence without the bombs is simply knowing ahead of time when you're going to be murdered. 2 Reply Mike, Norwalk 11/13/07 well, 3 out of 4 previous comments are very good. The fourth branch of government (the media) only adds to the designed ignorance. 5 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 11/13/07 God forbid a "Socialized" society. And I don't think people realize that "blowback" actually goes all the way back to at least the Treaty of Versailles which created out of thin air, the Arab states of today as well as set the stage for WW11. Real history isn't taught in schools and that's why the Media can tell us anything they want to...and we believe it. 5 Reply E Archer, NYC 11/13/07 Ignorance and blind faith in authority figures leads to slavery. 4 Reply warren, olathe 11/14/07 Real history being taught would destroy the chances for a "socialized "society. With out bombs "intelligence" in this world would do no good. Only an idiot would think that "intelligent" people do not need to defend their selves. The brightest are of course going to be the most affluent and it naturally follows that the "socialized" are going to attack the most affluent so there is nothing good to compare to. A thorough knowledge of the world brings with it the realization that good bombs are indispensable. 1 Reply Howard, Harbor City 5/9/11 The only world that I am against is "The World Order". A little knowledge can do wonders. 3 Reply Anonymous 5/9/11 "Knowledge is power, guard it well"- Blood Ravens Space Marines quote. 3 Reply Robert L. Davis, Neboville TN 1/21/16 Know your enemy. 3 Reply Patrick Henry, Red Hill 1/21/16 Knowledge, decoupled from, uninformed by understanding, necessarily is incomplete. In the absence of the constraining influence of immutable coordinating principles, ultimately, of understanding, knowledge is the most noxious of commodities. 1 Reply Bobble, No. Ferrisburgh, VT 1/21/16 He has a negative approach: "fence" and "against" give him away. "The thorough knowledge of the world" also enables you to cooperate with and enjoy it. 3 Reply E Archer, NYC 1/22/16 Well said, Patrick Henry. A falsehood held near and dear is a fence all on its own. The truth shall make you free. Reply Ronw13, ID 4/16/24 2Reply Fredrick William Sillik, Anytown 4/16/24 However the barriers, the Socialist leader will show us the gates, honorably, dignified, and true. Socialism is the challenge of social abilities to create the way to a more thorough knowledge. SaveOk2 SaveOk2 View CommentsClick to view or comment.
